“Fabulous Top Floor Room”
Reviewed 7 June 2011

My husband booked this hotel for our wedding anniversary weekend. He worked here as a 15 year old when it was the Palace Court Hotel so were a bit be-mused that it had become a Premier Inn! However....it was fantastic. They staff were very friendly and up graded our room to the top floor which was a suite and had a balcony overlooking the sea front and pier. I couldnt has asked for a better room. It was bright and modern and had a double shower in the bathroom. It was a pleasure to spend time in the room. My husband remembers Hattie Jacques staying in this room 40 odd years ago!

Of course we also had the hottest weekend of the year so far which helped.

We have now become fans of the Premier Inns but none have lived up to this Bournemouth experience yet!

My only negative would be the charge for Wifi, when most places offer this for free nowadays I was sent round the corner to an internet cafe.

We recently stayed here for a relaxing break after the stresses of work & health issues. We recieved a very warm welcome from a knowledgeable receptionist who did her best to ensure we had the room we required. The room was very clean, modern and comfortable with access to a balcony which overlooked the beach (we were on the 4th floor) We paid for the meal deal to include a 3 course dinner & breakfast next morning which was exceptional value for money in our opinion. The only blight on the stay was a guest complaining about his food and service at the hotel (quite unfounded in our opinion) we felt he should have been dealt with in a private area as he was very vocal. We will definately stay here again!

1 night stay, large room, kingsize bed, large balcony overlooking the sea, great quality breakfast, highly recomended.

Informed by the barman that hotel had been purchased as a recently refurbished 4 star hotel after bankruptcy, hence the high standard of decor and quality of ffittings. Not your average Premier Inn!

Would definitely stay again. £7 parking for 24 hrs in attached metro car park

We stayed at this hotel for a one night with my husband and 2 children. We have never stayed at a Premier Inn before and have read only reviews about other Premier Inn sites which weren't very good so did not expect much at all. However we were very surprised with the excellent service the hotel provided. The rooms were excellent and all other facilities and areas were great including the restaurant. The room/beds were very comfortable and had a good night sleep, I was very surprised considering how fussy I am with beds :). The staff especially at reception were also friendly and were very helpful.

The location was perfect too as it is right opposite the garden and is a 5min walk to the beach. This is also in close proximity to many shops and restaurants so can easily pop into shops if you need anything for the kids.

This hotel is a fantastic place to stay and would definitely recommend especially to family with kids. We will definitely come back again! Thanks Premier Inn! :)

I've stayed here a few times now on business and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone, whatever the reason for staying. Fabulous rooms, decent food and a high standard of cleanliness. This is not your 'standard' Premier Inn - it's packed full of Art Deco character and most rooms are much larger than you'd expect for the money. Many even have balconies with a lovely sea view - it's just a shame these can't be specifically requested on booking as I for one would happily pay a supplement for this feature. Another aspect which sets it apart is the attitude and friendliness of the staff. Well done to the management and staff team for running a fantastic hotel!

We enjoyed an excellent few nights at this Premier Inn. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff couldn't do enough to ensure we had a great time. We stayed at the hotel over the Easter weekend and the staff organised an Easter Egg Hunt for all the children staying at the hotel. This was a really fun thing to do and the kids loved it. Thanks to the lovely, old gentleman in the bar area who showed my baby daughter where some of the eggs had been hidden.
