“Fantastic Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 October 2011

What a really super Premier Inn, best one I have stayed in. Very big family room easily accommodated us in 1 double, 2 singles and a cot with lots of space around. Lovely modern big bathroom. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the sea which was great. We all enjoyed breakfast and were lucky enought to have a table at the front by the window. Would recommend to all.

Beautiful hotel with unique decor and atmosphere. Bedroom very boutique and bathroom extra modern. Didn't manage to get a sea view, but had panoramic view of city from floor 7. Car park discount makes parking most reasonable in Bournemouth. Reception staff very professional, more 5* than budget. Will be back!

My girlfriend and i stayed here on 14-16 October 2011 and what a magnificent time we had.
It was my birthday and when we checked in, we asked the very helpful LAURA if we could have a nice room, high up, preferably with a sea view.
She suggested a couple of rooms and asked if we would like to look at them.
The 1st was on the 6th floor and was very nice but then we went to look at room 901.
WOW!!!!
This was the "penthouse" :)
It was more like a suite than a basic room.
There are only 2 rooms on this floor and the views are amazing.
The room was spotless with a fantastic large bathroom with a bath and shower.
It has a nice balcony that is set to the side with great views of the town, gardens and the beach.

We paid £183 in total for both nights but it was worth every penny.

The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect.
You are about 2 minutes walk from the shops and town, but there is a cinema next door and also a casino and arcade, as well as a pizza hut and a few other shops.
About 3 minutes walk in the other direction and you are on the beach/pier.
If you are going to the BIC, then it's about a 5 minute walk.

If you are interested, there is some very interesting information about the hotel and all its owner over the years, including photos, found on the wall when you walk through to the hotel from the car park.
It explains just exactly why this Premier Inn is totally different from the rest of their hotels in the chain.

The car park is about the only possible downside in that you have to pay £8.50 for 24 hours parking.
Having said that, you can access the hotel directly from there and it is secure parking.
If you dont fancy paying that and dont mind a walk, there are other places to park cheaper locally.

The hotel actually has a good size swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and even a squash court!!
Unfortunately, Premier Inn do not run any "leisure facilities" in ANY of their hotels so this is all sitting there redundant.
Apparently, they told us that if a company wants to come in and run it, they would be more than happy.
Its such a shame as this would absolutely wipe the floor with all the other hotels in Bournemouth if they had all these facilities open.
Having said that, this really is our number 1 hotel in Bournemouth anyway and we can't wait to go back .... especially if we get room 901 again!

Room Tip: As i have said in my review, if you can, ask for room 901 - it is amazing!!! You'll get a perfe...

My partner, daughter and I had such a fantastic experience staying at this hotel earlier this month. On arrival, the hotel receptionist was most welcoming and informative. In fact, all members of staff we encountered were all extremely hospitable. We were given a family 'suite' on the 8th floor with the most incredible sea views all for only £39! The main bedroom had the largest bathtub in it that I have ever seen! We all fitted in with room to spare! The beds were ultra comfortable and we all had the best night's sleep in years! The whole hotel was extremely clean, quiet and stylish too! Would highly recommend everyone stay here!

My wife and I stayed here for three nights with friends in Room 316 & 318. The hotel is handy for all the local amenities and we were all delighted with the location. There is a car park at the rear of the hotel which is discounted for hotel guests and costs £8.40 for 24 hrs. The reception has three desks but we only ever saw one staff member at anytime which was difficult as the person always seemed to be on the phone sorting out problems or bookings and guests would be waiting for car park discount cards etc for upto 10 minutes.
Every morning we all ate a very good breakfast and we really couldn't find fault with this. Room 316 had the smallest bath I have ever sat in and the main bathroom door was a glass door with no modesty lock fitted. It is a little disconcerting to have a glass door on your bathroom but we got used to it. Our friends in 318 had a shower instead so if you want either a shower or bath make that clear at reception. We did phone the hotel prior to our visit to ask if we could have a sea view with a balcony. Most rooms have a seaview and there are also dozens of rooms which also have a balcony as well. The hotel staff said it is a first come first serve basis and to arrive by 1400. We arrived at 1330 and we managed to get our sea view room but with we were unable to get our balcony. We all felt a little dissappointed and would have happily paid a little extra to have one with a balcony. Not sure how this issueing of rooms actually works as it all seemed like a lucky dip process to us.
We never ate an evening meal in the hotel although they did do a very good meal deal for only £22 which included breakfast and a three course evening meal with a drink. Instead we ate out each evening and found many excellent places to eat at very reasonable prices. We would certainly stay at this hotel again as it is in the perfect place and great value. Good Luck with this one...

I've stayed in a few hotels in Bournemouth and this is by far and away the best of them for quality and value for money. The hotel is clean & the staff friendly without being patronising or over-bearing. By all accounts this hotel used to be a Hilton where the client's I was visiting used to have their Christmas ball. You generally know what you're getting with a PI & they're generally the same, but this one is, I would say a better standard.

I was sent lots of information by the hotel prior to arrival with directions and information about the car parking which is not run by them but they have a discount arrangement with the owners - despite previous reviews, this information is in the hotel description details. The downside is that you can only pay for it in cash & I didn't see a button on the pay station to request a receipt

Next time I'm in Bournemouth I'll definately be staying here again

Room Tip: I was in room 614 & got no outside noise at all

very good 1st impression: hotel very well located, 5 min walk from the beach and very modern design. At reception, polite and professional staff: it felt like a high standard hotel rather than a budget one. When we arrive at the room, modern, well design and comfortable. Some other rooms had balcony with a sea view , i will certainly request one on my next booking. We went for the £22 meal deal and well worth it: breakfast eat as much as you like and good choice for the dinner set menu which include a drink ( beer, wine or soft drink): my husband went for the steak every night and was not disappointed. The dishes were well presented and generous... we sure didn't feel hungry after that. The staff restaurant friendly and helpful. This is definitely the best Premier Inn we have been and for the service you get, it is more than just a budget hotel but a quality hotel. We recommmend this hotel 100 % and are thinking to come back definitely.

Room Tip: ask for a seaview if you can
