Bournemouth does have a good selection of entertainment at the BIC which is very diverse from comedians, musicians to shows. There are good facilities as you would expect from a building this new. It is attached to a multi story car park which makes accessing it even easier.

You have to be quick off the mark for some events but they do have good acts. Lots of variety to suit all likes.

This is a great venue to see live music; I've been here so many times I've lost count. It's easy to get close to the stage, being within touching distance of The Prodigy is something not offered by other larger venues!
Seated shows are good too, although the Gods are quite high and far away... but not as high or far away as the O2 in London!

We visited here on the 19th October to see Jake Bugg. The venue seemed well organised with plenty of security staff lots of high level signage and plenty of clean toilets. There were numerous bar areas, though these were incredibly busy and I would say that people were waiting on average 20-30 minutes to get served after 9pm. They probably needed more bar staff but it could of been down to Jake Bugg not appearing until 9:30pm and as the doors opened at 7pm (there were two supports) people were killing time. The security were kept quite busy with the drunks and the clowns. The venue allows no bottles so all drinks come in plastic beakers and you also cannot use electronic cigs. You can easily get outside if you take your ticket, for a smoke though. Lots of parking near by but as is standard in Bournemouth it is quite expensive. We walked back along the beach to our hotel which was a nice end to the evening.

I have attended many events at the BIC, ranging from concerts to comedy. The most recent visit was to see Russell Brand. I was seated on the balcony to the left, which provided great views. Every other time I have visited the BIC I have been in the standing section, which also has good views no matter where you are due to the size of the venue. Most reviews have stated the high pricing of food and drinks, but you have to expect this when attending such events, so it does not ruin my experience.
