I visited the BIC today with 2, 5 and 7 year old children. This event is completely over priced at £22. It takes about 30 mins maximum. It was so small....completely disappointed. We saw friends from school when coming in and were told it was a waste of money but had already paid. The creatures are beautiful but for children its over priced. The stands where so high the kids could not see through the microscopes and there was one footstool in the exhibition, which was still not high enough for the children to see. My kids were bored. It was to be fair more of an arts exhibition...turned into a very expensive outing with a small worksheet and facts boards for the kids to read! The family we went with were also bored and thought the same. I wish I had gone to wet and wacky at Littledown. If I had I would have paid less, children would have had exercise and been happy.

Went to see Lee Evans Monsters tour. Great venue. If I had one complaint, it would be the bar prices.

The Winchester Hall where the shows are held was nice, and even on the higher tier you don't feel too far away. They had two screens either side of the stage so you didn't miss out on facial expressions etc. The drink prices are expected, you're looking at around £4 for an alcoholic drink. The bars don't take card which I found a little annoying, but there was an ATM at the entrance. Lee Evans was brilliant!
