We stayed here and were very impressed with the place. Very well positioned for our needs and the owners were very pleasant even setting us up a table in the breakfast room when we arrived back withtakeaway fish and chips for supper. A very positive experience.

A nice little guesthouse tucked away from the hustle and bustle of town. Good service, just the sort you would expect from an establishment of this type. Plenty of roadside parking in front of the hotel. Not really for those that want to walk into town so check the map out before you book.
My only criticism ? Maybe a little overpriced for the class of guesthouse.

I stayed at The Pinegrove for one night, while on a short stay in Bournemouth. It's situated on a quiet street, a short walk from a stretch of beach, and about 10-15 mins walk from the train station. It's a bit of a trek into town though, so might not be ideal if you're planning to spend a lot of time there.

The room I stayed in was a good size, clean and comfortable. The overall style of The Pinegrove is quite traditional, and not particularly to my taste, and I did think that some of the furniture in the bedroom could do with some updating. One slightly strange feature was that there was a sink in one corner of the room, with a shower and toilet (but no sink) in a small separate bathroom across the hall. The bathroom was particularly in need of a refurb - very dated-looking tiles and green toilet. Retro, but not really in a good way. Shower was pretty good though.

Breakfast was decent enough - I didn't have the cooked breakfast, but there was a self-service buffet with cereals, bread, and juices. The limited contact I had with the owners was positive - they both seemed friendly and helpful.

I paid £50 for a double room with separate bathroom (including breakfast), which I felt was a little overpriced for what you get. Overall, a reasonable stay, but nothing to get particularly excited about.

We arrived later than expected, but were greeted warmly by the owners. We were shown to our room and were pleasantly suprised at how nice it was.. clean, fresh with plenty of space to move around. After relaxing (and making ourselves a hot drink), we walked to the local pub/restaurant which was 5 minutes away. The breakfast in the morning was really good... a well cooked full english breakfast served with tea, coffee, toast and fruit juices. We had a really good stay.. and would recommend it to anyone.
