Really enjoy coming here for lunch. They do a mushroom and chicken vol au vent special that is to die for! Comes with new potatoes and veg.

Staff always friendly and attentive.

They have a small seating area outside at the back with heat lamps. Wonderful for spring/autumn lunch dates.

I pop along for a bowl of basil soup every now and then. The soup is freshly made and has a luscious consistency and topped with a dollop of garlic butter. Superb on cold grey days. This entitles me to savour one of the delectable french pastries also made on the premises. A slightly old fashioned atmosphere in a kind and gentile way.

I asked for a bacon sandwich, which was refused as it was 'Not on the menu', despite the fact two people at a nearby table were eating a full English breakfast.
It seems for the staff and management of this eaterie, customer service is not on the menu.

Patisserie Angelique sells some really wonderful cakes and pastries. Everything is displayed well, tea and coffee are good, as is the service. There is a really cute tea garden at the back.

I haven't eaten a meal here, as I have heard the food is nowhere as good as the excellent range of cakes.

A friendly place to stop for coffee and pastry, sit out the back on the terrace and sample the delights, you wont be disappointed
