As a surprise anniversary gift my Husband booked a champagne afternoon tea at the Langtry Manor for both of us . What a lovely afternoon we had, our waiter was fabulous, the food as usual of a very high quality. We had the added surprise of our afternoon tea being served with a sparkler and a lovely scroll from all at the Langtry wishing us a Happy Anniversary. The staff at the Langtry always make a great effort so that you enjoy your day. We have visited on a few occasions and each time is always as good as the last. Well done to all the Staff at the Langtry you never fail to deliver high standards of service and make your guests feel special.

This was our third visit in a decade and the hotel retains its unique character. Booked a bargain deal for a couple of nights in a "small" room. Small it was, but still good and with some little luxuries like robes and slippers. Had dinner on one night and menu was varied and the food very good. Staff try to be very helpful, and are certainly friendly, but language difficulties sometimes got in the way. The hotel, and its annex, are showing their age, but that does not detract from what is a very different (in a nice way) hotel experience. It is great that such places still exist, and all credit to the management and staff for maintaining something that is both different and attractive.

My husband & I have just returned from a long weekend here. We were celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary. I emailed the hotel prior to arrival requesting a spa bath in the bedroom which I'm pleased to say we got. On arrival the reception team were very welcoming and showed us up to our room. We stayed in the Alexandra Suit which was lovely. Chocolate and a red rose were placed on the bed which was a nice touch. Breakfast was amazing, especially the full English breakfast!! Staff in general very nice, location only a 10minute walk away from the pier and overall and very relaxing stay. Would defiantly recommend.

This is a fantastic small hotel between Bournemouth town centre and Boscombe and within about 10 minutes walking distance to the beach and 15 minutes to Bournemouth town centre. The building is an Edwardian listed building with a beautiful small garden, cozy little rooms and the most helpful staff you can imagine. The included breakfast has a nice selection of warm food as well as the usual buffet. Dinner menu is also pretty good and comparable in price to the restaurants in town. After coming back from the beach, it is extremely relaxing to sit at the tables in the garden and have a glass of wine while reading your book.

The only downside of our stay was the stairs (since my wife was pregnant during the visit) and the lack of air conditioning, both due to the building being listed and not allowing air conditioning or lifts to be installed.

Room Tip: Try avoiding the top floor if you can as you have to climb the stairs.

My wife and I have just returned from a 5 night stay at this quirky and characterful hotel in Bournemouth. The staff were, without exception, outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble, and everything was carried out with a genuine smile on their faces. The food was outstanding in terms of quality and price. Yes, there were one or two very minor glitches which were sorted out in seconds. Having read some of the negative reviews of this hotel, I am at a loss to believe we are talking about the same hotel! We will definitely return, as soon as possible!

Room Tip: Try the Lillie Langtry room, it has a balcony that is in the sun most of the afternoon.

Only live round the corner so felt guilty coming here for dinner. Yes, it's pricier than many places but god was it worth it.

The food was stunning. We had 3 courses. I had the asparagus with quails egg and orange hollandaise and my partner had mozzarella and tomato salad. We then both had the fillet steak, cooked to perfection. The steak cut chips were really tasty. We then had the whisky parfait which was absolutely gorgeous. Then cheese and biscuits with port.

To finish, we had a cognac on the veranda. Best meal ive had in years.

I only stayed a night but the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Nothing was a problem and one member of staff even remembered my room number when I asked for some drinks to be charged. All our evening meals were very good, with plenty of choice and certainly not exorbitantly priced. Breakfast was a delight - freshly cooked and no standing at self service buffet counters! Before leaving, my friends and I were given a guided tour of the Manor House and a potted history of the house and it's famous occupants. An added bonus we certainly hadn't expected. I would certainly recommend it and stay again
