We have been coming to this great Hotel for many years and just love all the wonderful
reception staff, Kim especially who is always so kind and helpful at all times and brilliantly
patient with guests and is a wonderful reception Manageralso Patricia and Sheila. The Restaurant
Manager Egor is always very attentive with all guests and runs the Restaurant very smoothly.
The food is delicious with spotless kitchens and top award winning chef Richard with Matt and
Andy all preparing wonderful meals with amazing presentation. The waiters and waitresses work
very hard ensuring all guests top class service in particular wonderful Justyna who is always warm and welcoming and looks after us all. The Manager Philip is the best Manager the Carlton
has ever had and improved the quality and always there to help with warmth and kindness always. Philip is an asset to the running of this Hotel, and we thank him for making our stay so enjoyable, relaxing and second to none. All in all this Hotel the best in Bournemouth with top class
five star service at all times. Thank you all for making our stay perfect always. Love, Lewis family

Room Tip: Sea View rooms are the best.

As a group of 5 girls looking for night life and a break from our hectic lives, this hotel was perfect. Staff are professional and very helpful. Rooms and public areas very clean. Great location for beach, days out, restaurants and night life. Food was amazing as was the spa.
Very accommodating for all people whether your a couple, family or friends.
Special thanks to Sheila on reception for all her help throughout our trip and the restaurant and bar staff.

I was booked in here to attend a conference. Being a UK seaside town its probably not your average business hotel. Very friendly welcome from reception. Room was huge with a separate living room with TV and WC. Decor was dated and a bit stained but was clean. Bed was ok, shower was hot and powerful and towels a good size :-). Breakfast in the restaurant was good, didn't experience any of the other facilities.

We stayed 4 nights over a long weekend in an Executive sea-view room with big balcony. Room was enormous with all facilities and was very clean but decor needs updating next time it is done. Free wifi is essential for me and worked well on all our devices. Our room was immediately over the bar which was not a problem except for when staff turned up the ceiling speakers without realising. Not a problem mid-afternoon. More of a problem when it woke us at 1.15 a.m. They were quick to apologise and turn the music down both times.
The Restaurant is excellent. Very well managed with efficient, professional staff who are always pleasant. The food is excellent too - very enjoyable, plenty of choice, and tasty. We've got good appetites but could only manage two courses - if you like deserts you need to miss the starters. Breakfast had a huge choice of food which never appeared to 'have been there ages'.
All staff were professional, helpful, and very pleasant including the lady who cleans the lounges each day. We never saw a queue at reception as that was very efficient too.
Free car parking is good with plenty of space and ready access to the inside of the hotel.
Was everything we hoped for and we will definitely return as soon as we can.

When seeing the lovely room we were given, I presumed that it would be a lovely stay, we were wrong. The dinner was tiny and to be honest, tasteless. When finishing the desert, you are left clueless as to whether they are going to take coffee out in the lounge or not. At breakfast the waitress took us over to our table, asked if we wanted a drink and that was it. Nothing about telling us what to do, buffet, order from her etc. it was all rather awkward for us. We ordered a sandwich for lunch and the portion was tiny, the crusts are cut off so you are left with a minuscule taster of a sandwich. While this was happening all we heard was Phil Collins on repeat throughout the whole stay, yes the whole time we were there thats all we heard. Coming down for breakfast again we were actually told off by a member of staff for not coming through the correct door. However the other door was locked so we had no choice. There was a wedding at the time we were there, we were actually told mid-lunch to move and sit into the tiny bar to make way for the wedding. This is not what we expect from a 4 star hotel. It is all rather disappointing to see such a nicely positioned hotel to be staring 3 star rating in the face. I have actually stayed at far better 3 star hotels than this 4 star. The key to improving this hotel would be to completely reshuffle the staff in the restaurant and hire people with a personality.
