I stay here on business each year and have to say that I really like it. The staff are friendly and helpful without being intrusive. They are fabulous if you notify them of dietary requirements and have always had super service in this regard. The last two years I have stayed out in the chalet rooms at the back and love it out there as even quieter than in the main building. The rooms are always clean. The atmosphere in the hotel is really comfy.

We liked this hotel that we stayed at through the Sunday Times Sunday offer. Yes, the offer works. Pity the girl taking our booking didn't offer us further nights as a 'deal' or 'offer'. Otherwise we wouldn't have gone to the De Vere Village which was an 'offer' for 2 nights.

Pleasant staff and clearly modernised with good facilities. Really nice location for the town. Car parking £2 per night at hotel - cheap. Food was ok although the Rib Eye steak was not good. My wife and I both had the Rib Eye. However, starter and sweet were good. Breakfast was plentiful and adequate.

I sympathise for these hotels. They need to give the best they can at a time when we all have to make cuts. As such, the prunes and mushrooms missing for the man and woman checking out on the 18th are just a sign of the times....at any hotel! That said, the hotel should have really looked after that couple who had been going there for the last 20 years. 20 years!!

Summary - great location for town and beaches, Comfortable, very comfortable with good facilities. Food - there is always better if you want to pay more. It is acceptable and I would eat again. Bar drinks are steep - £8.60 for 2 g&ts. Again, the barman could have sold us an 'offer' of doubles for an extra 2 quid or whatever. Basically, improved marketing here would make it a good business. Sorry, my business head is now switched on rather than my holiday head.

Room Tip: Take a room on the front on first floor. Nice balcony.

Held my wedding at this hotel last weekend, Jeanette and her team excelled at everything, they got everything perfect, went the extra mile and ensured the wedding was what we wanted. All communications up to the day were 1st class, the staff were all friendly and welcoming, the hotel is a good standard, clean, great location for beach and Bournemouth Centre, food was excellent, really cannot fault hotel for warmth, hospitality, location, staff, would definately stay again.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Suite!

We have just returned from staying one night at the Royale and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We dined in the Aqua Brasserie and the food was excellently prepared and presented. Our room was well appointed and quiet, I understand that all rooms are being refurbished with about 10-12 left to do in the near future. Our room and bathroom were clean and fixtures and fittings were of a high standard, water pressure was very good in our shower (not something we have found in other Hotels in Bournemouth). We found all staff at the Hotel to be courteous and customer focused. Ours was an unplanned short notice visit as the Royale has been chosen for our Ladies Festival next year and we decided to have a 'test run' that proved the choice of venue for next year was the right one. We will be going back for a short family break as the Hotel is very well situated both for the East Cliff beaches and town centre shopping. If you want a 'different' stroll into town take the East Cliff lift (less than 5 mins from hotel) to the beach. We recommend this hotel

Absolutely nothing was too much trouble!
We held a business meeting & the whole couple of days ran like clockwork.
The rooms were lovely, very comfortable & spacious, especially lovely if you got one with a balcony!
Breakfast gave us all a great choice & the dinner menu was delicious.
We will most definately use this hotel again & again!

We booked 3 rooms for a night for a family celebration in bournemouth. The room was clean and tidy with comfy beds.
The receptionist was not particularly friendly - not a very warm welcome.
The hotel was just right for our requirements and was good value for money.
