Room clean. Comfy bed. Not great views from our bedroom but it was still ok. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast great with table service, again very nice staff. We had our little dog with us and it's great if you want to bring along your four legged family member.

We have stayed in some awful hotels recently so to arrive here was an absolute delight! The room was beautifully decorated, spacious and so quiet even being on the front. The bed was comfy, the curtains black out and the ensuite was immaculate. Everything was very clean and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff were very attentive. We didn't use the pool but it looked clean and pleasant. Would definitely come back again and was so relived to see such a well run and clean hotel!

The Collingwood is in an excellent location being only a short walk to the town centre, the pier and to the beach. (If slopes are a problem, it is only a few minutes walk from the cliff lift at the end of St Michael's Road.) The no 50 bus links to the railway station.
The rooms are fitted to a high standard with a spotless bathroom. The shower and the bath were both very good. The bed was very comfortable and the room was cleaned to an excellent standard every day. The fan worked very well and was quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. I ordered sandwiches one lunchtime and tea at night. The owner was most helpful in giving directions to National Trust properties when I asked. The sauna was excellent and I enjoyed using the pool. The breakfast was a good hotel standard. I did not use the restaurant but the menu looked very good indeed.. There were a number of families staying. I would gladly go back on a future visit to Bournemouth.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front have a sea view- I could see the Isle of wight from mine. There is some noise fro...

I stayed here for two nights as a family of five in a lovely large family room which was very spacious. Plenty of room for everyone and a great sea view.
Breakfast and dinner were both delightful and filling with many dishes to choose from. Our waiter, Cristiano, always gave service with a smile and was very polite.
The hotel was in perfect location as it was right by the sea front, pier, promenade and town centre shops. Very accessible. As the weather was not great we took advantage of the pool facilities which were great and relaxing.
Overall the staff at the collingwood were very inviting and delivered above expectations.

Stayed for one week in July with elderly disabled father-in-law. The hotel is in a good location for both beach and town ( though the shortest route includes a steep hill). It has a large car park. There is some traffic noise and it also gets a lot of Stag and Hen parties passing at the weekend, so request a rear bedroom if you like to sleep with the window open! We had a superior room which was on the side of the hotel and you could just see the sea. The room was very big, well appointed and tastefully decorated, it also had air conditioning, which was very welcome. Our only complaint was that the bed was too hard for our liking, but when we mentioned this we were found a mattress topper , which did help a bit. The single room we had was also good. We were impressed with the choice and quality of the food and all the staff we encountered were lovely. The entertainment was aimed at an older audience. All in all had a lovely holiday and would recommend this hotel.

My husband and I have just stayed four nights at the Collingwood. We have always had a few
days at the hotel for the last 12 years or so and it has been great. We missed last year though. This year seemed so much better. Rooms have been refurbished, new carpet throughout and the food was excellent. Hot and a varied menu. It is also so nice to have food served on warm
plates. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The dining room staff worked so hard and
nothing was too much trouble. Ten our of ten to Victor our waiter.

Room Tip: We were at the back which was fine. Rooms at the front on Priory Road can be noisy.
