Six of us went for a spa break.
It was a really good deal, which included 3 course evening meal, breakfast and a spa treatment. Unlimited access to the pool area.
This was superb value for money.
The meals had a wide choice of variety and were delicious.
All staff were friendly and welcoming.
Could not fault it and will be back.

Room Tip: Room 69 was great

Thank you so much for your kind review and I am glad that you all enjoyed the hotel and the facilities we offer. As I am sure you are aware our Spa treatment area is currently being refurbished and I do hope you will return to see the completed area along with other new packages that we are putting together...keep an eye on our special offers page on the website as there are some great deals coming up, the 'Girls Night In' is a very popular package for groups wanting to spend quality time together!

A lovely weekend, in a lovely hotel in a lovely town.
Its in a good location - a short walk to either the long sandy beaches or to the town centre.
Parking is free and not a problem finding a space in the car parks or the road.
Spa / swimming pools / gym are a good feature, it would be great if they were closer (bit impossible to change I know), so to reduce the walking in between them through the foyer/reception area. Robes/Slippers were not provided, for which they apologised, but the robes were so short they would not have fitted.
Breakfast was a highlight, great selection.
Relaxing in the lounge/conservatory area was also a highlight, very relaxing.

Thank you for your review and I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay, as you say the hotel is ideally placed for venturing out or staying in....our Spa is very popular both with hotel guests and local residents. I look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel in the near future and should you return in the spring and summer months then you will be able to take full advantage of our outside space as well.

Just back from a night at The Hallmark Hotel, Bournemouth, to celebrate our wedding anniversary and to go to an event at the Bournemouth International Centre. We stayed here exactly a year ago and booked again because we had enjoyed our visit previously. Upon arrival, we were able to check in early as our room was ready. The room (an 'executive') was really spacious with a massive, comfortable bed, dressing area, sofa and a huge bathroom with jacuzzi bath and a walk-in shower. The hotel left us an anniversary card and chocolate truffles, shortbread and strawberries, and rose petals on the bed! A lovely gesture. It then went a bit downhill, as we hadn't been provided with bathrobes and mineral water, as promised on the booking, (not that it mattered), the matress valance was very shabby looking and looked as though it had never been changed or ironed. Some of the furnishings were chipped and stained. In the bathroom, the jacuzzi was not working, the pedal bin was broken, the door hook was hanging off the door and the toilet seat was broken too. The towel rails were dusty. In the dressing room a bulb had gone out. The walls were very thin and you could hear what the people in the next room talking about!. Traffic noise from outside was constant too. Every time someone used the lift the door banged. It's a shame because the hotel has potential to be great with a bit of TLC. We went down to the bar area for some lunch and there were lots of 'hens' all sitting around in their bathrobes and swimwear. Not really appropriate for the public areas. Again at breakfast there were women in the restaurant in their pyjamas and slippers. Perhaps the hotel should have some sort of dress code. Breakfast was great - everything you could wish for. The staff were very pleasant too, though there was a long queue to check out as everyone seemed to think they were being charged twice! So this time, we had mixed feelings. Perhaps we just struck lucky last year. Not sure now whether we will return again and do feel that we paid over the odds for an executive room that didn't quite offer all it was supposed to.

Room Tip: We stayed in the 'old house' at the back of the hotel last time which was quieter than the r...

Thank you for taking the time write your review following your recent stay and I am sorry that it did not live up to your previous visit. There are a couple of our bedrooms, due to the age and style of the building, which sometimes have an issue with internal noise from neighbouring rooms however these are a minority.

Your comments with regards to the issues in the room have been passed on to the housekeeping and maintenance departments. Daily checks are carried out to ensure that all rooms are ready for guests to check into however on this ocassion it seems that this was not sufficient for which I am sorry.

I do hope that you will return in the future and give us the opportunity to restore your faith in the hotel and prove that your previous stay was not just a one off

We arrived on the Friday night quite late and we sorted things out at reception, then we were shown to our room. We had a large room with a double bed and a camp bed as there was three of us.The camp bed didn't look to steady and when one of us sat on it it collapsed but after phoning reception another one came straight away. The staff were very polite and friendly. After a good nights sleep we went for breakfast, it was a very nice full English and the meal at night was very nice too.Not the best hotel but it did the job.

Room Tip: Rooms near the kitchen are very warm

Thank you for taking the time to write your review, we do have an ongoing internal refurbishment programme in the hotel which includes public areas and bedrooms / bathrooms and currently we are working on our spa treatment rooms. This has not effected the offering that we have and are therefore still operating fully. I do hope that you will revisit us in the future to see the improvements being made.
