We had our work Christmas outing booked at the Cumberland hotel in Bournemouth. It was fantastic and I would like to repeat the experience several times over. We were welcomed at the door by the smiling Manager, Lisa. Our coats were collected efficiently and promptly and we were ushered to the bar to meet colleagues. Good cocktails...Very tasty 3 course meal, very good value for 30.50 with choices. Lovely, warm, smiling, very helpful staff who responded well under pressure. Good facilities and great music playing... the DJs were very good and got everyone dancing and swaying to the music. All in all, a great night out. Highly recommended.

Deck the halls with boughs and holly - no its much better than that - decked out superbly with always a warm welcome from staff. Ate out twice recently once at lunch and last night - both with attentive service, good food and nice atmosphere, Would recommend a visit, Sunday lunch is very good too and great value. Were lucky to have this art deco hotel on our doorstep.

We booked 3 single rooms via booking.com when looking up tripadvisor for accomodation in Bournemouth. This hotel is perfectly situated with a seaside situation and a short walk into town. The single rooms were small but perfectly adequate for our needs, the rooms were clen and equipped with all we needed. A word of caution is that the hotels several functions and as my room was on the first floor I returned to my room to find a note advising that there would be noise until midnight and earplugs could be supplied. This may affect some but as I was still jet-lagged from our travel from Australia it did not affect me at all. I must comment on the extremely professional and friendly staff. We were welcomed on arrival and given maps and explanations about services and this set the tone for the stay. Breakfast was included in our bargain price and was varied and tasty. Overall, I would not hesitate to recommend to others or stay here again. My sister-in-law has family in Bournemouth and plans on staying again.

Room Tip: If noise sensitive then best not to stay on first floor

We have just held our Christmas Party at the Cumberland for 220 people and cannot praise it enough. Prior to the evening the events manager was extremely helpful advising me and showing me all the function rooms available. On the night we were welcomed on arrival by a doorman opening the door for everyone, all staff throughout the evening were polite, efficient and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent, hot and we were all served together with everyone receiving the correct meals which must be a first in my experience! The room was decorated very
sophisticatedly in black and silver - it looked gorgeous! Well done to everyone involved in making this a fantastic Christmas Party we have already booked up for next year!!

I recently lunched with relatives who were visiting from Scotland and I suggested lunch at The Ventana. It certainly was the right choice, the service as usual was excellent and the food outstanding. My guests were very impressed with the surroundings, the decor, relaxed yet ambient atmosphere, the food and the service we received. So much so that they insisted upon leaving a 20% tip. Thanks to Trinidad for making our visit perfect.

We stayed two nights for a works Christmas party weekend ,and the hotel seemed full ,yet the service was second to none.firstly the rooms ,we had a mixture single ,doubles and upgrades and only one small complaint was with a room over reception which was very noisy when guests were leaving the hotel ,with a very polite ask the couple were moved ,and with out any fuss.the food was served fast both nights and any extras asked for were brought quickly .And breakfast was plentyful and hot .The staff work very hard at making sure everything is just right and so nice to see management work so very hard and very long hours as well as everyday staff .You really feel as if your part of the hotels family ...Thank you and see you all in 2014 :)

Room Tip: Always a sea view if you can afford to upgrade.
