We received a great welcome on arrival which continued throughout our whole stay in every aspect. The room was very clean although a little small but excellent value for the price. The food was first class in in taste & presentation & the staff efficient & friendly. we enjoyed the swimming pool which was clean & warm. The Art Deco was very tastefully done. I would enjoy going back to this hotel!

Room Tip: Would recommend front rooms or higher floors at the back.

We went to this hotel on a travel zoo voucher....but would definitely go back without a voucher.
The staff were really friendly from the start, as when we tried to park and it was full, one of the staff came up to us and informed us that we could park in either of the next two hotels up, as they were all affiliated with each other. Reception staff were really friendly and checking in was a really easy process.
Our room was really nice, I had upgraded to a sea view room and it was lovely, well worth it.
Dinner was really surprisingly good, it was a set menu, as we were on a deal. My partner is a little choosy with his food, but, there were choices that would suit anyone and the food was delicious, I thoroughly recommend the sea bass!
Breakfast was also good, standard full English, but all well cooked, there were also other choices, kippers, eggs Benedict, but you had to pay extra for these.
We will definitely return here.

Room Tip: Always go for a sea view

This was my 4th stay at the Cumberland, but the first time for leisure.

As usual the ambience throughout the hotel was great. The lounge area in particular has super comfy sofas and low lighting, very suitable for relaxing in.

Food in the restaurant was spot on. As was breakfast.

Great views. Really can't recommend this hotel enough. Reasonable rates and really, a guaranteed good stat.

We booked up last minute and wasn't too sure what this hotel would be like. All of the areas downstairs are lovely, Art Deco and very clean. Rooms were fresh and clean, small but everything you need. Staff were very attentive, very good welcome. We ate here and it was very good, got a complimentary starter each (very small dishes) on the house which is a lovely touch that was unexpected. We had burgers that were fresh and far better then expected. I was amazed that this hotel is only a 3star....why it falls to a 3 star is beyond me. Have stayed in 4&5 star hotels not as nice as this 1. If you want a sea view, ask. We didn't have but would have paid more if we were staying for a few nights. Brilliant location on the coastal road overlooking the sea. Would definitely return. Only tiny negative is parking area small. Just park on the road out the front, literally only a £1.

We were greeted very warmly by the staff on arrival. Hotel is very Art Deco it was like walking into the past, but in a pleasant way.we had a sea view room, it was very clean.
The location is fantastic for beach walking or going into town without driving, the weather was glorious. I would recommend this hotel and would and will be going back.
All staff very helpful, service very good and great entertainment..

Room Tip: Upgrade to a sea view, with a balcony stunning.

Very friendly greeting by receptionist, excellent room and great value for dinner, bed and breakfast with a Travelzoo voucher. The decor is determinedly Art Deco with a great deal of black and white and mirrored glass and there's a lot of other bold silver stuff which can make it all seem a little fantastical but we like that sort of thing. The deal includes use of the spa and car park next door. The food is well cooked and comes in good portions even if it's hardly adventurous. The restaurant staff are efficient and friendly and the hotel has a bustling, friendly feel to it. There's a direct line to taxi firms in reception but it's a satisfying walk down the zig zag to the beach and along the sand to the town. We would go back without a voucher and reception pointed out that they would be happy to undercut internet deals and offer a discount for repeat custom

We stayed for three nights with our daughter in law and granddaughter. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We ate in the Grand Ventana Cafe, also reviewed on Trip Advisor, where the food is excellent, the children's menu is very healthy and our grandaughter enjoyed her food.

Breakfast is buffet style with a good range of cereal cold meats etc. as well as the full English. The only minor problem was getting more than one cup of coffee, attracting a staff member took a bit of time.

We used the pool in the next door hotel, part of the group, which our granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed.

Overall a very enjoyable stay for a very reasonable price.
