“Brian and his team made my Mum and Dad's 50th Wedding Anniversary a day to remember”

Brian and his made my Mum and Dad's 50th Wedding a day to remember

We were looking for a venue for our parents 50th Wedding Anniversary/Renewal of vows in July of this year. We looked at quite a few hotels in the area and The Cumberland stood out by far with its Art Deco theme and the most amazing Oceania Room with the domed ceiling.
We had a small party of 30 and the team made the room look warm and intimate and every aspect of the event went so well.
Brian and his team helped with the initial set up of the projector and music system while simultaneously serving welcome drinks to the guests. The food was exceptional considering it was mass catering and the attentiveness of the staff was so good. Not too much interfering but there when needed for the champagne toast and cake cutting. If you are looking for a venue on a beautiful spot in Bournemouth with helpful staff and stunning Art Deco designed hotel The Cumberland Hotel is the place to go!

Thank you for your compliments on the Cumberland Art Deco Hotel. When the Hotel was Refurbished in 2007 great care was taken in re-creating Art Deco splendour with Funky Modern Boutique twists, reallly appreciated you recognising this. Regarding Brian and the sales team, unlike most hotels, our sales team are hired for you from start to finish of your event and are always there during the actual event showing their passion and belief in the product they sell, thank You

We decided on a whim to take a short break in Bournemouth to show our 20 month old girl the sea and sand and the monkeys at Monkey World. I read reviews for many hotels in the town and decided upon the Cumberland as it was reviewed as friendly and affordable. The idea of an outdoor swimming pool appealed too. When we arrived for our mini break I never could have imagined I would be leaving having enjoyed one of the best holidays I've ever had. I've been a professional traveller and can be hard to please but this hotel stands out for me for its warm welcome and that fabulous pool.

The staff are friendly, polite and nothing is too much trouble. Everything we asked for was sorted out with a smile and genuine concern for our comfort. The outdoor pool is a gem. It has the feel of an LA boutique hotel with big lounger beds and sunloungers with large cushions. The pool itself is heated to a glourious temperature, no slow wade in to get past your middle just a lovely plunge into warm water. Our daughter loved it as did all the other children who were making full use of the pool on a Saturday morning. If noisy kids get on your nerves don't be put off, despite their joyful squeals the other adults seemed to be having a relaxing time soaking up the atmosphere.

The rooms are comfortable, clean and bright. We didn't have a sea view and I think when we go back we will upgrade to one. It's only in the room where the hotel's 3 star rating shows. Despite the recent refurbishment they are a little jaded but that didn't bother us in the sligtest we were having such a great time we stayed an extra night. We would have stayed longer if we could.

Thanks for your appreciative review. The service we aim to give is the best, and all staff are constantly trained daily to ensure we offer the best available customer satisfaction. The outdoor pool is great isn't it!!! , we heat the pool mid June to mid September and it is quite balmy, particularly in the warm weather we have had since May, We also " switch gears" in July and august to accomodate families in every way we can, really pleased to see this review and to know you had a great time, see you again soon

Stayed at the hotel with my sister (both wrong side of 50) for a couple of nights. What a pleasure it was. Great decor, food was excellent with spacious dining rooms, lounge and bar area. The professionalism and general attitude of all staff was outstanding. Quiet beach location between Bournemouth pier and Boscombe. Good mix of clientele with families, young/mature couples and older people. Excellent value.

Am a regular visitor to this hotel. The helpful and attentive staff make it a pleasure to return to the Cumberland. Ask and it will be done! There is one particular room from where I can relax on the bed with the balcony door ajar and see over the bay to Poole Harbour and beyond. I won't say which room it is in case you all want it!

I just wanted to take the chance to tell everyone how wonderful this hotel truly is. We stayed 5 days in Bournemouth and have had one of the best holidays. I don’t think any hotel in Bournemouth can match up to the Cumberland’s standard and what they offer, I am really not surprised they have won an award, they totally deserve it.

We parked up within 5 minutes of arriving, didn’t have to pay and had help with our luggage. Our room was great, we had a side view, lovely big bathroom with crisp white linen.

We went out and about in Bournemouth and it is a beautiful area, the front desk were so helpful in recommending the best things to do and best places to visit. Normally you get given a brochure and that’s about it. We ate every night at the hotel, you could not of got better quality of food and service anywhere for the price we paid.

Outdoor swimming pool was just gorgeous & staff were so lovely, thank-you Cumberland for a wonder holiday we will be returning on your bargain breaks!

Stayed for two nights B&B and also used bistro for evening meals. The service was excellent as was the food and the position was good ,nice and quite with a bus stop just outside to the town centre. The swimming pool was well used by adults and children alike. We had a sea facing room with a very large patio area with a bench and table and chairs ,the bathroom was large with a dressing area and all the room was clean and brightly decorated. The weather was very warm and sunny this obviously enhanced our two days but would recommend this hotel to all ages.
