Loved staying here in early December for a couple of nights. Valerie is an excellent host and ensures that you have everything you could possibly need. We enjoyed the wine and nibbles supplied in the room and the excellent breakfasts. We'd love to come back again and would recommend Smithfield to anyone who wants pampered nights away.

We stayed for a weekend in October...we were as lucky with the weather as we were with the hospitality and quality of accommodation. Beautifully clean and comfortable, with just about everything you might want, on hand. Lovely breakfasts served in the large comfortable kitchen. Bath robes provided for the private bathroom. We can give this B&B the highest recommendation possible.....try it yourself and see!

A delightful bed and breakfast just off Winton High Street near Bournemouth; beautifully furnished bedroom, a fantastic breakfast in Valerie's beautiful kitchen/diner, with lots of fresh fruit, tastefully presented and served by Valerie who is a delightful host, keen to please her guests; for dinner, there is a beautiful Italian restaurant within a couple of minutes walking distance on the High Street; we are certainly planning to stay here again;

My wife and I were attracted to this B&B in Bournemouth by the favourable comments on Tripadvisor. We stayed for three nights in early September. 2012. Those comments were all true. We really enjoyed our stay and can recommend others to stay here if they are visiting Bournemouth and the area.

We stayed at Smithfield Place last weekend and can't rate it highly enough. Everything had been thought of by our friendly host Valerie, who made us a cup of tea on our arrival - the home made fishcakes and smoked salmon made for a lovely breakfast and all of the food in our room was astounding - fresh fruit, Kettle chips, packets of biscuits, boxes of different fruit teas, wine (which was replenished after we drank 2 of the small bottles on the first evening) and Ferrero Rocher on our bedside table. We would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone wanting to stay in the Bournemouth area and I'm sure we'll return when we're next in the area.

Thank You Valerie for an amazing stay at your Bed & Breakfast. We have stayed at 5 star hotels world wide and found this Bed & Breakfast far outweighed most, if not all, of them. The accommodation was extremely clean and well presented. The bed was super comfortable and the bedding of Egyptian cotton was beautifully clean and fresh. In the room were an array of goodies, including both red and white wine, all manner of teas, coffees and other hot drinks, fresh milk, water (both still and sparkling), sweets, crisps, chocolates and a lovely bowl of fresh fruit. The bathroom was again spotlessly clean and well stocked with everything you would have at home, from different types of bath and shower gels, shampoo, conditioner, cotton buds, face wipes, bath puffs, an array of flannels and all different sizes of towels. Needless to say everything was beautifully clean. There was even a sitting room complete with Sky television if you wanted to use it. The food was wonderful, varied and extremely plentiful. Nothing was too much trouble for her. From the moment she welcomed us into her charming cottage to the moment we hugged Goodbye we felt like we had know her forever such was the warmth and generosity of our host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this amazing Bed & Breakfast and will definitely return. Thank You again Valerie! THIS IS A BED & BREAKFAST WHICH WE WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL TO ANYBODY LOOKING TO STAY IN OR AROUND THE BOURNEMOUTH AREA.

This delightful Victorian cottage, extended in the 1980s and fully refurbished, offers accommodation of a double bedroom with a king sized bed and a newly fitted private bathroom complete with a walk in shower and bath. There is also a private sitting room for guests to use complete with Skt TV, and if it's a little chilly outside we will even light the fire for you. And of course, being a bed and breakfast, after a good night's sleep you'll be expecting a good morning's breakfast. So, what better way to start the day than on a hearty full English breakfast, smoked salmon and scrambled eggs or even delicious homemade salmon fish cakes served with poached eggs, accompanied with fresh fruits, cereals, yoghurts and fresh breads. We will always try and accommodate any choices and in particular any dietary requirements so please just ask if you need anything special.
