We have stayed at this hotel three times now, each a very enjoyable time.

The location of this hotel is superb, parking is good compared to it's neighboring hotels and the view is great. Luckily each time we have stayed we have ended up with the same room, one on the bottom floor, quite small but the view is great so the size doesn't matter!

The food at this hotel is also very good. We have stayed in a few of the neighboring hotels and even then we walk round to this hotel to eat. Would definitely recommend the Sunday roast!

The rooms are always clean, the decor is also very different but suits the boutique style hotel. The showers aren't great, same with most hotels so would recommend they upgrade them to suit the quality to match the rest of the hotel.

We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a break by the sea.

Room Tip: Definitely upgrade to sea view room! It seems a shame not to have one with the sea on the door step!

I just spent 3 nights at this delightful hotel with 3 friends. We found the hotel to be beautifully furnished and maintained and in a perfect location for us. Our tastefully decorated rooms overlooked the sea - such a fabulous view. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel. Make sure to check out the 2 for 1 cocktails between 4 and 7 pm...we did...each day - they were excellent!!! ;)

Room Tip: The walls between rooms aren't terribly sound-proofed so I would recommend a room at the end of the corridor (overlooking the sea) so you only have one room to possibly disturb you.

I had a great time at Cottonwood was a little apprehensive as I accidently booked during The Wheels Festival and for three women on a girly weekend not what we wanted. But it was great the hotel and staff were impressive and friendly, the food in the restaurant was one of the best meals I had in a long time. the decor was vintage chic very girly we were in room 27 over looking the car park but to be honest it was a good location and just right for three and we even had two birthday cards waiting as they knew it was a birthday treat for my mum and daugther. The only disappointment and I am relucted to write it on here as it is not the hotel fault was the beauty treatments I booked online I was not able to have as the beautician did not know about the appointments which were confirmed online from her online booking service, so I just advised you speak to her direct or you cannot guarntee she had the appointment. As for the Wheels Festival we ended up loving it x Thanks Cottonwood I am glad we booked you and we will be back, but maybe not for any beauty treatments.

Room Tip: 27 was good overlooked the car park but nice room

Really pleased to learn that you enjoyed your stay with us, great hotel for a girlie get together.

I've since spoken with Beauty Essence, who operate the beauty room at the hotel. Hopefully with a couple of improvements to their online booking system this should all be resolved.

I do hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back again sometime soon, September is often a nice time to visit if your daughter isn't of school age; you still get the lovely sunny weather and Bournemouth tends to be a little bit quieter so plenty more space around the pool at the Ocean View Hotel next door.

Best wishes.

A good value for money hotel. Our bedroom was comfortable with a sea view and most importantly very clean! The en suite shower/ toilet was small but it functioned well. One little criticism is the shower could have done with a little shelf. Impossible to put your shower gel anywhere other than the floor.
The staff throughout were efficient and helpful.
There is a nice garden area where you can sit outside and enjoy a drink or snack.
The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and the food was well cooked and well presented.
Breakfast also was a pleasure. An excellent choice of cereals, fruit and a cooked breakfast. Again one small gripe was the glasses for juice and water were tiny. You need several trips to have a normal tumbler of juice or water.
All in all though a hotel that I would recommend!

Thank you for your comments on Trip Advisor and delighted to learn that you enjoyed your stay. The hotel really does pride itself on the quality of it's food and service levels and with our new menu, it really is proving to be very popular.

Some of our bathrooms are compact but unfortunately nothing that we can really improve upon, however we'll see if there is an opportunity to fit a shelf in the shower.

I do hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you to the Cottonwood in the near future.

Best wishes.

We stayed here for a hen weekend at the end if May. Our room was out the back of the hotel out through a function room behind a curtain. As soon as you entered the corridor it smelt damp. We stayed in room 42, let's just say that it was nothing like the pictures. Old furniture, old wallpaper, green bathroom suite. There was several damp patches around the room, chipped window frame, disgusting cobwebs all around the room, it wasn't even worth £50. We paid £90 for this room. My mum and sister stayed in room 41 and this was far worse!
Would never go back as this hotel is too misleading on its website.
We did however have a great afternoon tea in the lounge bar!

Thank you for your comments on Trip Advisor and disappointed to learn that your rooms were not up to the standard you were expecting.

The bedrooms have been repainted since your visit and there are also plans to re do the bathrooms over the coming months. The pictures taken of the tiles in the bathroom show the tiles which have flecks on them as their pattern and this is not mould.

These are our last let rooms of which I believe you were advised at the time of booking.

I am pleased though that you enjoyed your afternoon tea with your friends and family and that your weekend away wasn't a complete disaster.

Best wishes.
