This hotel may only rank as two stars, but for its location and staff it certainly deserves five. We were given a very warm welcome as we stepped off our coach and our bags were delivered to our rooms for us - so no queuing for the lift! Our room looked out onto the central gardens - an absolutely magnificant view, but the double glazing ensured that we were not troubled by any noise. The provision of a key which gave direct access to these gardens meant that not only were we able to take advantage of them but also that we were able to use them to gain swift access to either the town centre by walking left or the seafront and pier by turning right.
Food was of excellent quality - plenty of choice on every menu. It was served quickly and efficiently by staff only too ready to accomodate any particular requests. It was a pleasure to sit down at mealtimes. A well stocked bar, again with a fabulous view of the gardens, provided an alternative to going out for a drink and there was also a well furnished lounge if we just wanted to sit and let our food go down. A really lovely place.

Room Tip: Book early!

I have to be totally honest here...the hotel, bricks and mortar, is not great. It could really do with a few quid spent on it...carpets and doors etc. But, in its defence, the staff were really nice, rooms were very clean and beds were very comfartable. We went without the kids for two nights and you couldn't have asked for a more central location...excellent. Breakfast was interesting, don't just go for a full English cos it won't fill you up...breakfast is done like an evening meal sit-in where you get a starter (prunes, cereal, porridge, melon) then the main - English brekkie or kippers etc. Play it right and it is a good feed, just dont totally rely on a full english as they are very small.
Didn't pay full price for the room as we got an offer but if you want somwhere to sleep and get out and about or if you have kids that want to go to the beech and be able to get back to your room quick if they are covered in sand, this aint a bad bet.

I think this hotel should be rated more than a two star. All the staff were very friendly from the housekeepers to the manager. They were all helpful and any request was eagerly attended to. The hotel was very clean and quiet. It was located in central Bournemouth close to the beach and admusements. It was just a short walk to all the high street shopping anyone could possible want. The hotel restaurant deserves a special mention all its own. Although, there were plently of restaurants with in walking distance I can not think of a single reason why anyone would want to. The evening meals were excellent the waiter service and the food was first class. The breakfast was good and again first class service. Throughout our stay we were treated like VIP's.

I took a party of 31 people to the Arlington for a bowls tour. I cannot speak highly enough at the service we received. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful and the food was incredible. Every meal was excellent. Imaginative meals beautifully presented. All the reports I have had from the members of the bowls tour party have been very positive.
I would recommed this hotel to anyone.

A good choice for the beach, the hotel is very conveniently located for all the best Bournemouth has to offer. The hotel is a traditional seaside type property set on a quiet road but close to everything. There is free car parking and it is easy to find. The staff were very helpful and the hotel had everything I needed. It was good value for money and I would go back again. The decor was a little dated but everything was very clean and the linens etc. were all quite new. If you are looking for clean, well located good value accomodation that is English seaside rather than city chic this is the right place. The breakfast is also good quality.
