I have stayed at this hotel 5 times within the past couple of years and it's been consistently good. it's a warm, friendly place, totally geared up to children and families during the summer holidays but sophisticated and suitable for all types of guests throughout the year. The rooms are very comfortable, nicely decorated with a high standard of furniture and beds. There's an inside and outside pool and it's only a few minutes walk to the lovely beach at Alum Chine. The restaurant is beautiful, up high and overlooking the sea, with excellent food. I liked it so much the first time I stayed that I've just kept going back.

Room Tip: The hotel has up to 4 bedded rooms and some have balconies, overlooking the sea. All the rooms I have stayed in have been very nice.

Riviera is a great beach resort. The rooms were very clean, it's close to beach and the staff was extremely helpful with a good attitude to help with anything (examples: they helped find a jacket in the lost and found; got taxi for us on the day of departure and helped investigate transportation options to the New Forest or to Stonehenge). The food was really good with good selections such as veggie curry, salmon, hake, etc. We didn't try the swimming pools or the karaoke bar since we experienced perfect beach weather. Parking is limited and some cars were double parked. We choose the package that included all meals, which made it quite expensive, but since there aren't many other eateries in the immediate vicinity we think it was a good decision. There is a good view of the English Channel from the dining room. The only negative? Price. But considering we booked late in the season, we were just glad to be able to find a great place so convenient to the beach.

We went to the hotel for a weekend for a function and enjoyed every moment. Our room had a balcony and a wet room rather than a bath/shower but was very clean and looked as if it had been recently decorated. The pool was great, and the jacuzzi lovely and warm, the only minus was there weren't really enough changing rooms but it wasn't a big problem, we just stayed in the jacuzzi a bit longer.
All the staff that we met were extremely hard working and always friendly and helpful.
It is only a short walk to the beach and the little train stop.
I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed at the Riviera Hotel & Holiday Apartments, for two nights back in June, as a midweek break, but in typical June fashion, the rain only let off for a few hours. The hotel was fine, smallish room, but fairly comfortable bed, clean and tidy. Bathroom with bath and mixer shower, and a nice balcony which we might have used if it wasn't for the weather!

Pool and Jacuzzi where both nicely heated, drank in the bar, but didn't try the restaurant.

Would recommend for a short stay or break, bit small for a longer holiday

We have recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. We had booked another hotel and changed our minds, and we were so pleased we did. We booked a hotel as we were going to a concert at the BIC. This hotel is a real gem, super friendly staff, centrally located for Bournemouth and Poole. Lovely room with sea view, We returned to the hotel having been out all day, we had breakfast in the morning and had'nt eaten all day. Following the concert we arrived back at the hotel at midnight and we were starving, We asked if we could have a sandwich and it was no trouble at all. and freshly prepared. We met a lady who asked whether we had enjoyed our stay and she mentioned that she was the owner! After many years ownership of the hotel she still wanted to know whether guests enjoyed their stay. Will definitely be back next year.

Room Tip: 1st or 2nd floor rooms south facing
