We stayed the night of May 9th in Room 101. All the rooms have a celebrity theme and we couldn't help that they'd missed a trick with our room. Room 101 = George Orwell we thought. Wrong. Instead our theme was Mike Myers. But of course! Am rather pleased that it wasn't a torture chamber. Room was spotlessly clean with a big bathroom stocked with towels and water cups. Water is very hard, so may taste a bit funny if you're from a soft water area. We had dinner in the Sherlock Holmes room and spent our time trying to work out an anagram above the Diva Room door instead of talking to each other! There were two different priced deals on for dinner and if you book early, it comes with a free drink each. Waitress was very helpful, explaining the special of the day and what the soup was. She checked our meals were OK at every course. Breakfast was all you could eat, included toast, cereal, cooked meats and other items in a full English, tea, coffee and juices. The only thing I didn't like was when a hen party came back at 1am all off their faces and shouting to each other on our floor, but then we did book a hotel in Bournemouth on a Friday night! All staff friendly and helpful. Recommended.

Stayed two nights in this hotel in late April. Saw wonderful Susan Boyle at Pavilion Theatre. Overall, Hotel was excellent value. Room was splendid - clean and roomy with good fittings and lovely bathroom with bath. Had excellent dinner on first night - again excellent value for money. Would have given this hotel 5 star rating but for one major drawback - the breakfast was cheap and nasty. Self service - even had to make your own tea. Teabag in a mug and struggle with hot water jug. I do not need this first thing in the morning. Staff were wonderful throughout. My advice is add £5 to the bill and improve breakfast fayre. Would not return - only because of basic breakfast provided.

I make monthly business trips to Bournemouth, and always stay at the Hotel Celebrity. The staff are unfailingly courteous and my room is always spotlessly clean and well appointed. Breakfast is always excellent with a good selection of cooked and cold options. I can't understand some of the bad reviews on here and can only imagine that these people are expecting a Rolls Royce for the price of a Ford Ka!.
My only negative point is that sometimes I am unable to park in the car park, but this is presumably because the hotel is so popular that it is full!
