A rare day off, so I decided to go to the beach for the day. I knew the weather was going to be sunshine and showers, so decided to book one of the huts through the council website.
The price was okay, £36 for the day, and thought it would be nice to have a refuge during the rain periods.
However, within an hour I discovered that I wasn't go to be able to go after all, so immediately rang to see if I could cancel or amend the booking. Their only option was, as my booking was due to commence within 14 days, to refund 20% of my booking fee. They say I should have checked the booking T&C's
Nowhere on their website does it mention their conditions.
Poor customer service. Ask for their terms and conditions before you even think about booking.
