This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this hotel. The hotel offers excellent value for money. The rooms and all of the hotel are spotlessly clean. The bedrooms have comfortable beds with crisp white linen and the bathrooms have power showers with thick white towels changed every day. The rooms have basic modern furniture but is enough for what one needs. The breakfast buffet offers good choice with cooked or continental breakfasts available, you can eat as much as you like and sit and relax for as long as you like and no one makes you feel in the way!!! The staff are polite and helpful.I can recommend this hotel to all ages.

Booked for just the one night, between Xmas & the new year.
After years of staying in creaky old Hotels in Bournemouth, this made a pleasant change.
Everything was clean & fresh looking. The rooms were spacious & the staff curtius.
For the £69 we paid, we were well pleased with the whole experience.
We will return next year.

Booked this hotel for a 2 night stay to finish christmas shopping.
We secured a fantastic deal at £126 for two nights, 2 people including buffet breakfast (parking free) via the hotels website.

As the hotles website describes this hotel is a perfect retreat for busines users or people looking for a short inexpensive stay.

Reception

Reception is part of the hotel they call "The Hub" which also includes a carpeted area with sofas and chairs, and a laminate wood floor area filled with table and chairs used for breakfast.
The hub also has a small bar intergrated into reception with a good selection of bottled drinks. There is also two beers on tap, Bodingtons and becks (i think).

Reception was quick and easy, and we were checked in within a couple of minutes. The staff were very freindly and professional.

Bedroom

The bedroom was a very good size, very clean and well presented. The room is very minimalist, with a stand to hang clothes, two bedside cabinets and a desk containg tea and coffee making facilities, internet access, t.v, and a hair dryer fixed on the wall.

The bed was a double (as i believe all rooms are) and was quite firm but comfortable which suits me. There was also a small type arm chair in the corner and an office chair at the desk.

The bathroom was in fact a wet room, and meant that we had a huge walk in shower, slightly seperated by a glass wall. There was a big sink sunk into a glass shelf and fresh towels stacked to one side on another set of glass shelves.

The room was located on floor 6 and was very quiet.

Food/Breakfast

Breakfast was good fo being included in the price. However they do need to keep it hotter as the food was only luke warm. Breakfast items included, bacon, grilled tomato, sausages, fried eggs, beans and scrambled egg (poweder form). There was also two toasters for you to toast white or brown bread. The chilled selection included youghurts, fresh fruit, crosiants, cereal and sliced cheese.

You could also help yourself to as much tea or coffee from the machines as well as a soft juice dispensers (apple, orage and pomegranite) but best of all an ice cold milk dispenser (child hood memories).

We had a pizza one lunch time and they were brilliant. Freshly cooked on an authentic italian base. Drinks were a reasonable price too.

Location

About a 10-15 minute walk into town which we enjoyed, but be warned, the hotel does sit on a hill, so going is great fun, returning a little bit more unpleasent!

Overall a brillant hotel, crisp, clean and modern and certainly worth a stay unless you want to be pampered by cosy surroundings of plush fittings and furnishings.

We were satisfied with our 1-night stay at the Ramada Bournemouth. At £69 for 2 inc full English breakfast and car parking, this was reasonable value for money, and the hotel was as described on the website. As others have said, the rooms are clean and modern but unremarkable. As a place to stay the night it was fine, but probably not somewhere you would want to hang around in for longer periods of time.

We had a quick pizza at the hotel on the evening we arrived as we were pushed for time. This was OK but it would have been nice if they'd had a larger selection of hot food. The breakfast the next morning was much better.

It was certainly useful to have the free on-site parking in the underground car park. They were happy for us to leave the car there for an hour or so after check-out while we went for a walk around town.

Would stay here again for a a similar price.

Straightforward business hotel midway between town and conferance centre. Although we arrived before booking in time the staff were helpfull and allowed us to use the parking area under the hotel . The main bar in the hotel remained open until the early hours. The rooms were modern and comfortable and clean. Nothing remarkable either good or bad.

Stayed three nights in the Ramada Encore for business, and was very pleasantly surprised. Didn't expect much, but when I checked in I found a large room, a comfortable bed, and a nice bathroom, all kept very clean.

The breakfast offered was very nice and comprehensive, and there was free wifi in the lobby by the lounge. I paid £5 a day to have internet access in my room.

Didn't give this hotel a 5 because there are still some areas for improvement - the TV only had 10 channels, which is a bit disappointing when almost everyone has Freeview at home in the UK now, with 40 odd channels. Also the wet room bathroom didn't drain that well, and finally the shampoo/conditioner wasn't refilled one night, which left me a bit short the next day.

Overall though I was very impressed. This isn't the place to stay if you want a cosy B&B, but as an efficient, very comfortable business hotel it was excellent, and the free underground car park was a big plus too.

My friend and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights recently and found our experience rather dissapointing.
The emphasis seemed to be on 'cheap'. A few changes would make this hotel more enjoyable to the visitor. I recommend...

More welcoming and friendly front of house staff -
When we arrived we were barely acknowledged by the front of house staff, who demanded payment up-front (not a problem, but we usually would have the option). The staff serving breakfasts and who attended the bar were altogether more friendly.

More homely rooms - The emphasis seemed to be on packing people in as tightly as possible and allowing for minimum space. Just as well there were no wardrobes or the rooms would have been overly cramped. Nice to see Mugs on the tea tray...but some biscuits wouldn' t have gone amiss.

More varied meal options - As we were so shattered from walking we decided to have a meal in our rooms. The only hot choice available was Pizza's. These were nice in themselves but had not been heated properly through.

Breakfasts were varied and substantial but unfortunately the food served at the hotplate was often cold! Staff need to pay more attention to this.

Doors to the rooms were very heavy indeed. This meant that when they were left to shut they really REALLY slammed hard (alarmingly so in the middle of the night).

Dimmer lights in the bar in the evening - to make the place more ambient.

We paid £89 for our room per night (for two nights). The plus side was that we did have a good view on the top floor, but unfortunately our stay was marred by the above and we would choose another hotel - should we return to the area for a weekend break.
