This was our first stay with Marlins. We will be returning, based on the good service, comfortable rooms and excellent breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble, and service was always delivered with an English voice and a smile - something which is often lacking in the hotel industry. Having stayed at other hotels/guest houses in the Bournemouth area, this is by far the nicest.

A visit to Marlins included a very warm welcome from some of the best hoteliers we've met, very friendly and filled with local information. We stayed in cozy room number 11, at the top of the hotel, it was clean, quiet and benefited from some really nice touches such as wireless internet, flat screen TV with dozens of extra channels (more than the usual offering at more expensive establishments) a bathrobe, extra pillows, double glazed window, hair dryer and biscuits. The 'big breakfast' is wonderful, served fresh and hot with amazing sausages! If you are not in the mood for a full English there's warm croissants, a selection of cereal and lots more besides. From the wealth of brochures in the reception area to the attentive breakfast service, a high standard is apparent throughout Marlins. Its ideally located, within just a few minutes walk you can be at the beach or in the town centre. The number 50 bus operates every 30 minutes from the stop just outside, an open top service which runs through Sandbanks to Swanage via the ferry, one of the best ways to see the region. We highly recommend a visit to Marlins.

really helpful staff on arrival. although i was early than supposed, room was ready. and i was offered coffee in the public lounge area.
I was staying at the top of the hotel in a very comfortable and cosy room.
Hotel is well located close to the beach and most important night life is nearby....
Neil and Michael made my stay remarkable.
would definitely recommend the hotel to friends and relatives.
Extra: free WIFI

I've just got back from 4 nights stay at this lovely b&b, we were so sad to leave!

We travelled with our 7 month old baby which was our first little holiday and it was like a home from home holiday i really enjoyed our stay. A travel cot was provided in our triple room and the room was spotlessly clean. We were so impressed with the breakfast, so much choice and the owners Neil and Micheal were so accomodating! There was always a space in the carpark for our car too. Our rooms were tidied everyday.

Its in a good location to restaurants, shops and the sea just a 5-10 minute walk away. The b&b itself has a great feel to it, very homely and relaxed, everybody that stayed there seemed happy and we got chatting to other guests in the lovely little garden they have.

The owners were so helpful and kind to us that I can't imagine why anybody wouldn't want to stay here, go on book a room!!

This is the third time we have stayed at Marlin's. Having holidayed in Bournemouth countless times this is the only hotel we have ever wanted to go back to year after year. They say a holiday is what you make of it but Neil and Michael add that touch that makes your holiday extra special. Nothing is too much trouble for them, they make themselves available whenever you need anything and they have been so wonderful with us and our children it feels just like being at home. It is so close to all the amenities, local shop, restaurants, beach, BIC and the town centre, what more can you want! I would recommend Marlin's to anyone (except the in-laws!) so if you're holidaying in Bournemouth don't hesitate, book it :-)

we have stayed at marlins twice now and we would highly reccommend this hotel. the rooms are very clean and comfortable, the owners are welcoming and the breakfast is the best we have ever had. the hotel is only ten minutes walk from the main shopping centre, it was nice not to have to use the car during our stay. we will definately be using this hotel again.

Just returned from a 4 night stay at Marlins with our two elderly mothers. Marlins is everything you could wish for - well maintained, well appointed, first class acommodation, spotlessly clean - my husband dropped one of his pills behind the beside table / bed and could not find it, but when we returned from a day out, the room had been cleaned and the pill retrieved, the furniture had been moved and cleaned behind!! The service was excellent, nothing too much trouble, the owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. the breakfasts were delicious, tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms, even biscuits, free parking, a delightful courtyard garden - the list is endless. We could not fault it and will be recommending it to anyone who will listen! It will not disappoint. We were well pleased -thank you Marlins, we will definately be back.
