“Nice hosts & good overall”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 May 2009

Just returned from a Bank Holiday weekend. Great friendly hosts and beautiful gardens. Walking distance to most places and Matt & Thom recommended some great restaurants. Mega friendly bar staff (sorry forgot her name). Nice rooms and public areas. I would return but possibly the hotel is a little too big to manage on the staff available, otherwise I feel the standards they have set themselves will/cannot be achieved.

Me and my girlfriend stayed at The Yenton for 2 nights recently. Booked last minute at a really reasonable rate. We were upgraded free of charge on arrival. 1st Class accommodation which is clean, modern and comfortable. The breakfast was also great. Would reccommend to everyone. Mat and Tom are great hosts. Cheers from Joe and Catherine.

I had to stay in Bournemouth recently for a couple of nights to save driving home after late conference dinners and found the Yenton on Trip Adviser,
Its a nice B&B with a comfortable bar.
The room was large(i was upgraded from the small double I had booked) and it had a flat screen TV and Ipod docking station nice sofa and the room was clean with a nice deep bath, all quite pleasant, the fun size choclates a nice touch.,
But all in all nothing more than I would expect to receive when I am paying to stay somewhere. and although it was clean and comfortable its not plush and its not the Ritz
I have to say though the gardens are beautiful.
The dorset breakfast was good especially the home made bubble and squeak!
What makes the Yenton special is the service and friendliness of the owners and their staff,I felt welcome and looked after without being fawned over and patronised and nothing was too much trouble so different from an impersonal big hotel.

Would definitely stay again

Great welcome and continued attention for a tentative woman travelling alone! Made to feel "special" but privacy respected. Food excellent - even prepared individual meals as I can only eat certain foods. I came to research educational trips available for children. The manager was very helpful taking time to list various possibilities . Room cosy and very comfortable - tea-making facilities great as I spent much time in working in my room. Evenings relaxing in the bar - being on my own was a positive advantage! Thanks Matt and Thom - I'll definitely be back maybe for a holiday next time.

Have been this week around the South Coast on business and the best hotel I have stayed at is the Yenton. The guys that own it are friendly and very happy to help you.
The rooms are of a very good size much bigger than normal and are nicely decorated with great views of their gardens.

I will be booking all my employees into hotel in the future,

Keep up the good work guys.

Craig

From the moment I arrived till the moment I felt i was impressed the welcoming atmosphere, the deidcated staff and the comfort of the hotel. For the first time ever I was upgraded to a larger room with a flat screen TV and to my surprise my ipod charger was redudant - at the TV already had one - plus the wifi in the room made it easier for internet access.

Breakast was a real treat and for someone like myself who believes in sourcing local prodcuts - I was served Dorest sausages and locally laid eggs.

The staff were helpful throughout my stay and it never seemed any trouble or bother for them to attend to the needs of their customers.

After a busy schedule it was great to relax in a leather chair in front of the fire and unwind with a pint
