This hotel advertises itself as a four-star hotel, a rating which does not exist in the UK. It's a minute from the beach, and right across from the Bournemouth International Center, where my partner and I were attending a Bob Dylan concert. So the location was perfect.

The hotel is a bit shabby chic; it could do with some renovating. It's clean, but the rooms are small, the bed we had was small and sagged on one side, and overall things seemed just a bid old. The room had a sea view, which was nice, but it was quite warm (even though it wasn't a warm day, and no heat was on). So we had to leave the window open during the day, which was a bit noise because of the nearby road, and even part of the night. There is no air conditioning, so I'd steer clear of this hotel in summer.

Breakfast was mediocre, with the hot food a bit stale, and not much in the way of pastries or fruit. The staff were friendly, and we had a light dinner in one of the restaurants, which was okay but nothing special.

Choose this hotel for the location, but I found it a bit overpriced for its amenities.

Oh, parking was free, which is pretty rare, so that's a plus.

While down in Bournemouth, for a weekend break, My wife & I decided, last minute to have afternoon tea, at the Hermitage hotel, in Bournemouth.

We are so glad, that we did, as we found that the hotel staff, to be so friendly & welcoming, & that they couldn't do enough for you.

We had the Dorset Afternoon Tea, first of all, we were brought out a ice cold, glass of water, with a slice of lemon, Inside it, which made it taste so refreshing.

Then we had a tall pot of coffee, brought to the table, with a jug of hot milk, which, Was a nice surprise, the coffee cups, both had doilies, under them.

The selection, of handmade sandwiches, Salmon, Cucumber & Cream Cheese, Ham & Grated Cheese, due to not liking egg Sandwiches, Ham Sandwiches all made on bread, which was so fresh.

We found the home made scones, to be so tasty, both the plain ones & the sultana scones, that were made to order, upon your arrival.

Both the clotted cream & the jam, were both home made, which made it taste so much much more tasty.

The selection of cakes, were to die for, as they looked too good to eat, however we never knew, which one to start on first.

When we had finished the pot of coffee, the hotel staff, brought us the second pot of coffee, out, along with fresh cups & a jug of steaming hot milk, to which I thought, was a nice little touch. We managed to get two cups, of coffee, each, out of each coffee pot.
The hotel staff’s attention to detail, makes the afternoon tea experience, all that much more enjoyable.

We found the afternoon tea to be reasonably priced, so we will be back, in the near future for afternoon tea again.

I stayed here with my partner for 2 nights. Hotel is lovely and all the staff are very friendly. The food was gorgeous could not fault it. The rooms were basic but very clean and no issues apart from the room was very hot. I heard a few other guests complaining also so I would suggest air con. Apart from that the stay was lovely and I would recommend

Stayed here with my boyfriend for two nights and couldn't have picked a better hotel. The staff were very welcoming and we were lucky enough to get a room opposite the bournemouth eye which was lovely. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. There are plenty of parking spaces on site, this was ideal as we arrived on Friday evening. The hotels a two minuet walk from the town centre where theres lots to do. This hotel is definitely worth a visit!

Very courteous staff at checking in. Room had a lovely sea view. Quite a small room but adequate for sleeping. Our bathroom was very clean, could possibly be upgraded as the shower leaked onto the bathroom floor. We eat in the bar and the food was delicious, staff again were very friendly, polite and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfast was awesome. Food was very hot.. served in a buffet style with Plenty of choice, sparkling clean cutlery and teapots! We had numerous buffet breakfast in hotels and this is definitely the best by far. We can't wait to re book this hotel for a little break in Bournemouth.
