“Beautiful hotel!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 February 2014 via mobile

My partner and I stayed at this hotel for the 2 nights we had a kgb deal with beeakfast included. It was worth every penny!! The hotel is spotlessly clean, service is brillant and the food perfect! I only have 2 bad points the parking is not very good, not enough spaces for a large hotel and our bathroom was very small! Both me and my partner are tall so found the shower a bit of a squeeze so if you are a larger build or tall like myself I would advise to ask about the bathrooms before you book your room! The breakfasts were tasty and plentiful and the evening meal was great too exspensive but worth it! The spa area was great! Pool was lovely and so was the jacuzzi and sauna but most of all the hot tub outside was lovely definitely worth a dip!! Great location 5 mins walk to boscombe beach a lovely pier with beautiful views! I would definitely go back!!

Went there last year on a cheap deal, didn't expect too much but was very surprised when we got there food and accommodation where excellent. Went again in Feb this year (2014) room was fantastic and the food was equally as good as last time, if not better. Service was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely go again.

Room Tip: Having had a room in the annex and now in the main hotel building both where very good nothing to ch...

I wasn't in town for a pleasant reason and my trip down for both my visits was pretty hellish but the welcome I received was pretty good. The first room that I was given wasn't the best at all and it was worth upgrading to something better. The bar is well stocked and friendly and the breakfast on both occasions was more than adequate.

The problems with the place are that I couldn't rebook the lovely room I stayed in on my first stay whilst I was there, having to rebook through a central office. This was impersonal and un-necessary. Parking was also pretty poor, I had to park at a car park up the road and round the corner, owned by the hotel, as car parking was very limited.

All in all, not the best place I have stayed but if I need a hotel in the area again and it was similarly priced I would use it again.

Room Tip: Get one with a view of the Chine

Just returned from the most relaxing break, staying a lovely

Although not the best looking from the outside, the Chine is a lovely, spotlessly clean hotel with great sea views, good facilities but the thing that shone for us was the whole team of staff. Everyone single member of the team could not do enough for us, and genuienely seemed proud of working there - a rare thing nowadays it would appear.
We ate in the restaurant one of the nights and had an amazing meal, and breakfast each morning left us full for most of the day! Our room was al iitle dated but for a groupon offer we knew we would get the best roomin tne hotel. However it had everything we needed and had a superking bed and fold up bed for our son. The gardens were well maintained down to the beach, and it's a lovely stroll from the pier into Bournemouth. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

Stayed two nights last week and found the Hotel perfect. Breakfast was extremely good with plenty of choices. We had a meal one night and it was really good, very well cooked and prepared and the staff were very friendly and polite. The restaurant manageress was lovely. We were booked into room 301 which looked out over the garden onto the Chine, it was a really lovely room. You could walk through the gardens and out the back gate onto the beach which is sandy. Very pleasant swimming pool but could be a bit warmer, very nice sauna and Jacuzzi. Overall would highly recommend The Chine.

Enjoyed a great weekend at The Chine for a family gathering. 18 happy people from ages 7 to 86 were all looked after extremely well. We booked the Garden Room for a private function and were served a beautiful meal by attentive staff. The Hotel is clean, the rooms large and the hotel has an elegant and contemporary feel. Breakfast was very good and served in the restaurant which has a light and airy feel as it looks across the gardens towards the sea. Every request we made when booking was carefully considered and all the staff went out of their way to make the stay memorable. Also very good value for money and a short walk to the sea front.

I only stayed one night, my room a single room was compact but had everything you could want. a very bath with shower above hot water all the time. The restaurant's food was very good and the staff were very efficient and very pleasant. The view from the windows was great and if you wanted a Hotel near the sea with great views this is one to look at.
