This is my 3rd time staying in this hotel, the experience could only get better and can honestly say that im probably addicted at this stage..
This time was for Easter break, we were only supposed to be there for 3 days but ended up extending it to 4 . To cut the story short, all the staff members were exceptionally friendly, the breakfast was very tasty, the restaurant staff always made sure "each piece" of the breakfast menu was replenished when running low, that's one of the highlights of my day, lets not forget about the sea view from the restaurant when savoring your food...The back gardens are really nice and views are scenic..plenty of facilities from spa, to outdoor heated pool,,plenty of facitities for kids too.I honestly recommend it 150% and you will certainly not regret it .

We stayed at the Chine Hotel for a 3 night break with Secret Escapes for a second visit. The service is excellent with all the staff at reception and in the dining room being pleasant and helpful. The food is very good value and the rooms are clean and spacious with good bathroom and bed linen. Lovely gardens and scenic walk for the physically able to the beach. Would certainly recommend it for a short break.

We stayed here last year and had a lovely time, so decided to return again this year to celebrate my husband's birthday. Last year's wonderful experience was happily not a one-off as we had another excellent stay here. Our room was large and spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were outstanding in terms of quality and choice of food/service from friendly and ever willing staff. We used the pool, sauna, outside tub everyday which was quite wonderful and at times we were the only one's there. The gardens were immaculate and a joy to stroll through. It is certainly now a firm favourite of ours and we will look forward to return as often as possible.

On arrival we were fortunate to be able to park on the public road immediately outside the hotel, parking is at a premium.Check in was friendly and informative. We were very happy with our room which had large windows giving a panoramic view of the sea from Boscombe to the Isle of Purbeck.Very nice gardens, steep paths in places.Comfortable bed which made it all the more disappointing to find ourselves outside on the pavement at 04.20 a.m. because of a false fire alarm!Breakfast was excellent. We had no children with us but it seemed that those staying there were well catered for.We did not use the restaraunt other than for breakfast so cannot comment.A very comfortable and pleasant stay.

Room Tip: Sea view definitely preferable.

A great hotel in a great location. Just a few minutes walk to Boscombe beach. The check in was efficient with friendly service. The rooms are big and clean although there are a few signs of wear.
There is a great indoor pool which has a Jacuzzi and sauna along with an outdoor pool and Jacuzzi although the outdoor pool wasn't open when we were there. There is also a small gym.
The grounds are beautiful with stunning views down to the beach and plenty of places to just sit and relax. there is also play equipment for children.
There is also a soft play area inside the hotel which my 8 year old loved.
The bar is good and not at all expensive.
The breakfast is fantastic with really good quality ingredients.
I would certainly recommend this hotel.

We stayed here last night with our 8 month old baby. We stayed at the hotel last year for a wedding and it is a lovely place to go. It's a perfect location for Boscombe beach with only a short walk along the front to Bournemouth pier. Our room was lovely, clean and large. Fantastic views from balcony. I would say that if the hotel invested in some nicer furniture for the balcony this would be good. Or at least if they could be cleaned thoroughly this would help. When you have paid £160 for a room dirty white upvc furniture on a balcony is not what you expect. We had room service which was great and the breakfast is spot on as is the service. My baby and I had a swim in the morning which we enjoyed, pool was the perfect temperature. One more small con, when we arrived our babies cot was not in the room and we really needed to put her down for a nap, after a call to reception it was brought to our room. But it was initially an inconvenience for us. Forgot to add the gardens are gorgeous and well kept, the bar is also surprisingly glamorous for a 3 star hotel! Drinks prices also a little high! Having said all The Chine is our little oasis for a family break!

First impressions are deceiving. This is a large old Victorian hotel with attractive established gardens down to the sea front. Extensive redecoration. Great location. Breakfast would meet everyone's tastes and quality too. Dinner hit the spot and bar team know what they are about. Good but smallish gym. Outside hot tub for up to four people. Good staff attitude nothing too much trouble. Outside pool area attractive but was out of service during our stay.
