Description: This Bar is next door to the Bournemouth Sea front travelodge and many people talk about it in reviews so I thought it would be nice for them to have there own reviews instead of being added to the travelodge ones. I will be leaving a very nice reviews as soon as you accept my request thanks.

“What so Irish about this bar”
Reviewed 3 December 2013 via mobile

Entered the bar with three people at the entrance smoking. One was a bar person who didn't wash hands when served my beer. I looked at menu and there was no meals to do with a Irish theme. In the gent toilets where clean but shabby. Also signs for sport shown on tv in October it's now December. Tables where sticky also the place looks like it need a refit and brick work is showing plaster falling off. There is no Irish theme to this bar at all even the Guinness is on it own away from main bar area. I'm unlikely to visit this bar in future.

Found this one near our hotel. Ended up staying all day rather than making it to the beach. Friendly service and a nice little touch having tvs outside.

“Friendly”
Reviewed 9 November 2013

Popped in here for a couple of pints after the cinema and found out it had just been bought by the owner of the pub/hotel next door. Everyone was very friendly and if the noise does get a little too much you can always pop outside and sit under cover.

I believe they have plans to start using the place for stag and hen stays so no doubt this will also be opened next year as a hotel for that target market! I wont be staying here but will pop in again for a pint of Speckled Hen next time I am in Bournemouth.

“Great breakfast”
Reviewed 20 October 2013

we stayed near by and bought a voucher for £3.50 from our hotel for breakfast at the shamrock. what great value, the breakfast was massive and sorry to say I had to leave some. friendly staff and v nice hanging baskets. the floor in the ladies needs a good scrub but at least the loo's were clean. I would have paid more for a breakfast of that quality. was surprised to see a few gents drinking pints at 9.45am though!!!!!
