We found this on Days Out With the Kids site and as suggested called to check it was open. We were assured it was, between 1100 and 1330.
We arrived at Littledown at 1220 and called again for directions as it was impossible to find and there were no signs. The gentleman my husband spoke to was very helpful and have us directions as we walked across the playing field and although it looked closed he assured us that we should knock on the door and someone would be there.
We were greeted by the model railway enthusiasts sitting around having a cuppa and a chat. "Oh no it's not running today. It's too cold on the track."
Cue wobbly lip by our 2.5 year old and full on tears she was so disappointed.
So, I'm sure it's wonderful when it's going but may not be worth the trip unless you're prepared to disappoint your little people!
