As we walk in the café we are choked by the smoke and the strong smell of hot spices of the food being cooked at the end of the cafe.
The place is bare. The table cloth is not changed and the placemats have marks from the glasses of the previous customer.
The service is completely unprofessional. The owners are rude and know nothing about customer service. The man (the waiter) is more preoccupied with calming the crying baby he holds on his arms then listening to our orders. At times it is impossible to get his attention although the café is nearly empty. The woman (the cook) can hardly understand any English and keep mixing all the orders up.
At about 5-6 pounds per meal it is cheap but the portions are small, about half of a normal portion so you'd normally need to pay for at least 2 meals to get a normal size meal. Not worth the money for the quality.
The 'strawberry drink from Thailand' left a red mark around the mouth that could not wash off for 24 hours. I'm not sure if it was the idea of the nasty food colouring/ingredients or if it was the actual food or just a coincidence but I had a tummy ache throughout the night until the next afternoon.
