We had a pleasant overnight stay as a family of four as we were visiting Bournemouth to see a show. The room was large, with a sofa bed and an extra guest bed for our teenage children. The view was fabulous, overlooking the sea with a wide view of the Bournemouth coastline. First impressions of the room were good; the mints, toiletries, bath robes and biscuits were a nice touch. However, the fact that there were 4 of us and only 3 biscuits meant sums were involved to share! The bathroom was nice, however the shower fitting was broken and the output was quite poor, although adequate for our needs as we only stayed the night. When the sink tap was on, it leaked water all over the countertop, which was annoying - we wrapped a hand towel around the tap to stop the water spreading.

The room was clean, apart from a couple of the maid's hairs in the bed - again, annoying. We weren't overly impressed with the breakfast as my son had to discard three sausages which weren't cooked properly before finding one he could eat, the juice was decanted into bottles which were sticky, plates and bowls weren't readily available, and only hot plates were available which made it tricky for the children to hold.

So, overall, it was nice enough for what we paid, but a little extra attention to detail would make all the difference. We would visit again.

Room Tip: Definitely worth asking for a sea view, as the views are fabulous.

We booked a break in Bournemouth for some sea air and walks after Christmas. Chose East Cliff Court because of its position on the sea front and proximity to the town and shops. Also we had read the reviews. We were welcomed by an informed reception and given our room which we had discussed prior to coming (by phone), We had a large twin bedroom with car park view.
All facilities in the spacious room were very good. Comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom with bath and shower.
The breakfast buffet was hot and plentiful with lots of variety. P had smoked haddock which was 'wonderful'. We had 1 dinner, a table d'hote with 3 choices. It was fresh and tasty for about £23 per person without drinks.
The staff were all helpful and polite pointing out places of interest and efficient and
We stayed for 2 nights and the nice Sunday weather was glorious we wish we had booked another night. We will stay there again when in Bournemouth.

This is a review of the hotel in the context of our wedding reception held at East Cliff Court in December 2013.

The hotel itself is clean, smart and modern and the cliff-top location is fantastic... even during the winter. There are a variety of function rooms to cater for different sizes of party... we used three rooms (for reception drinks, main meal/evening reception and a buffet room) and all were totally suitable for our wedding (approx 60 day guests and a total of 130 in the evening).

The food was great. We were lucky to have had a taster session before choosing our menu and we were happy with our choices... I can particularly recommend the braised feather blade of beef and the profiteroles from the wedding breakfast choices.

Being the bride and groom, we stayed in a lovely, large sea view room. Furthermore, we heard no complaints from any of our guests who stayed in other rooms.

Lastly, the greatest asset of this hotel is the staff. The odd inevitable glitch here and there was resolved quickly, without fuss and totally satisfactorily. I'm sure plenty of people worked very hard on the day who we weren't aware of, but a particular mention goes to the manager Paul and also Natasha, both of whom went beyond expectations to make the day extra-special and exactly as we wanted.

We would not hesitate to recommend staying at East Cliff Court to anyone but specifically with regard to weddings, their packages are genuinely great value. If you're reading this considering booking your wedding there, you can do so with confidence. I actually went through TripAdvisor and privately messaged the writers of all recent reviews about weddings before we booked. The replies I received were almost unanimously positive.

Finally - quite rightly, I know the hotel read the reviews they receive so once again, thank-you.

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, staff were very friendly, the room and bathroom were both very clean, the sea view room we stayed in was excellent and has beautiful views of the beach sea and pier. The location of the hotel is just minutes walk from the beach and pier. Town is walking distance too.
The hotel has a bar downstairs which is very nice and the lobby area as well as the rooms downstairs for sitting and relaxing are very clean and nice to be in. I would recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: Stayed in room 3306 which was a double with sea view - this was a nice room and the bathroom was a nice size.
