“Good place to stay”

Excellent facilities - not luxurious, but who cares. Very close to beach. Bit of a walk to the centre of B'mouth and pier. Staff expetionally friendly and helpful. Not sure what else to say to pad this out to 200 characters!

Stayed one night. Had a family room which was plenty big enough. Didnt feel too hot and a large fan was provided. Only down side was my little boy would have liked porridge for breakfast! and carpark very small.

When we arrived, the staff at the reception desk were very helpful and also told us about the location using a map as we don't know Bournmouth that well. We got told that there parking facilities were quite bad because they were absolutely packed up so I would advise you to get a parking spot quite early! When we got to our room, it was ok but the beds were stained and had a huge stain on the matress which wasn't very nice! We complained to the reception lady and she was nice and did change it for us:). The whole room itself was not too bad but very basic. On our last morning we went down to breakfast and it was very bad service!! We had to wait for like 20Minutes just stood there until we got a table as it was a very small space and hardly any chairs! The waitresses are ok but they don't do that of a good job! The food was ok. Not much of a selection but we knew there wouldn't be much as its not a 5star! The area is really nice especially the beach! You can walk miles and miles along the beach! Its a lovely Location. I wouldn't come back to this hotel to be honest but it's alright (VERY GOOD price).

Room Tip: Higher Rooms Less noise!

Stayed here last week for 4 nights in a family room and couldn't have been more happy with the experience. The hotel has recently been refurbished and really makes a difference. Our beds were so comfy and we were always supplied with plenty of pillows, towels and tea/coffee in our room.

All areas of the hotel that I saw and especially our room was very clean. Our room was cleaned and beds made daily. The staff are incredibly helpful and hard working and go out of their way to be friendly.

We had breakfast in the hotel every morning and had dinner on our last night and was happy with the food/service.

The hotel itself is in a good location, a short walk from nearby restaurants, shops etc but also far enough away that you're not in the hustle and bustle of the town centre. It's also only about a 10 minute walk away from Boscombe Chine Gardens and a little further to Boscombe Pier and seafront. We chose not to use the hotel car park as it is underground and rather on the small side, instead we parked our car in a nearby side road which was free and we had no problems finding a space every day.

As others have mentioned, our room was fairly hot at times but we had a fan waiting in our room on arrival which helped and it was by no means unbearable or ruined our stay at all.

We are already planning on returning to Bournemouth next Summer and will definitely be staying here again!
