“Wonderful local community coffee shop!”

A little hidden gem well worth visiting to fuel up especially if you're heading down to Alum Chine for a walk or trip to the beach. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and it's one of those rare places you feel you can stay for hours without being made to feel you should leave if you're not going to keep buying things.

The coffee is excellent (even the decaf, which is often hard to find) and the atmosphere so relaxed they're happy when we bring in our toddler. Although don't get the idea the place is overrun with kids, it just has a lovely relaxed lounge feel, you feel welcome whoever you are.

I rarely post reviews but we visit so often I felt it worth sharing the love! And the chocolate brownies are huuuuge and delicious. If you're visiting Westbourne or live locally, I totally recommend a visit!

Visiting from Portsmouth we thought this an ideal place for a bacon butty and tea. The setting is pleasant and welcoming so we happily waited for what was described as a thick wedge of bread with bacon. A bacon butty. Of all the bacon butties I have eaten this was the worst and the most expensive. Tiny thin slices of cold streaky bacon difficult to see when the bread was quartered. Cold tea on a badly tea stained table. We were the only customers so I can think of no excuse why the Green eggs and chilli jam should come in instalments.

As the amazingly talented & beautiful actress Julia Roberts says, 'There is an anonymity that makes people feel safe to participate in hatefulness' on the internet. As the almost as beautiful & talented LR team say 'Smile & the world smiles with you.' We ALWAYS ask our customers at least twice if everything is OK & if they say it is then we take them at their word. Our customers love our product & we love our customers which is why we have never received a review like this!
