Despite other reviews found the night staff very helpfull and friendly. The breakfast was good and the staff here too helpfull and friendly. What was a huge disappointment was the shabby room. Although clean the room did not have a good aroma! There were no bedside tables or a place to hang smart clothes,ie a wardrobe. We had booked a double room but ended up with a room including unneeded bunk beds which totally obscured the T.V. Lighting was woefully inadequate for the room and the kettle had to be placed on the floor to reach the plug. I hope as described in other reviews the beds are replaced during September as the springs really are trying to escape.
Finally our greeting when arriving was "hello parking is a fiver a night how do you want to pay"! This was not mentioned at the time of booking. From a safety point of view allowing a car to park virtually on the Steps of the main entrance is not good practice in the event of a fire( we had to lift our cases above our heads to get out of the place. On the whole it is a pity that we did not see what was asked from other guests unhappy with their room " where are the rooms that you have shown on your website"! All I can say future guests is good luck in your quest to find these.More
