Stayed here this year with my wife, brother & sister inlaw. The reception needs brightening up' I felt it a bit off putting, The reception staff, a young lady in this case quite unwelcoming. We arrived a hour early and were told by this young lady quite coldly' booking in time 1400, not the sort of welcome you expect from the front desk, and one that needs to change if customers are to return. We returned to the car and returned our suitcases to the boot and walked into town for a beer, returning later to be greeted by a very polite young man. the room excellent, also the buffet breakfast. highly recomend this hotel as good value for money.

After searching last minute for a hotel in Bournemouth costing between 30-100, we paid £80 for a room thinking it would be of a fairly good standard, oh boy were we wrong! The 'spacious' room was a small double with a single headboard?? No available parking, no fridge, no tv, the hairdryer smoking when plugged in?!?!
We requested a room change unfortunately there were none and as it was already 20:00 and we were getting up at 04:00 decided to stay but knew we would have review to warn others!
To sum up ... the location is good and the rooms were clean but the whole scenario was very 'Fawlty Towers!'
If you pay £20-30 it is fine but be aware the hotel needs upgrading and the rooms are very small & if you are disabled do NOT book as the lifts are so small, 2 people is too many.

My boyfriend and I booked to stay here last minute as we were let down by another hotel, Very helpful staff :) on site parking which was good. Rooms were small but had everything we needed and were nice and clean. The hotel is in a good location short walk to all the clubs. Good value for money!!

Reasonably priced hotel. The rooms require some updating and were a little small, but the two rooms we had were clean and in good order. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and I couldn't fault them them. Unfortunately the other guests were not as desirable. Due to the price the following guests were unfortunately drunk, loud and came in banging on doors and shouting obscenities. The staff were very understanding when I decided to leave the hotel early with my young family and were happy to refund me for the extra night that we did not stay. Good hotel if you are looking for a location close to the beach and town Center, but not suitable for young families.

Booked last minute through a search engine website. Arrived and no Parking on site but reception advised on alternative parking. Check in quick and easy. Arrived in room to find it very very small, the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Decor was very tired and the room was very hot. TV was broken and bathroom door closed but then would not unlock. Luckily it was noticed whilst no one was on the inside. Both sorted straight away. Hotel was very noisy with weekend party people but not too much bother. We stayed for two nights and parking the second day was not a problem. As the previous night had been so hot, sleep was a struggle. We asked for a fan and it arrived straight away, noticed the plugs earth pin was missing and the PAC testing sticker was blank. Was not happy to attempt to use it. Got a replacement straight away but could not be used due to the noise it made, was concerned it would blow up or keep neighbouring rooms awake. We gave up after that! Location was perfect for the beach and a 15-20 minute walk to the main shops. Did not try the food.

This is the dirtiest hotel we have ever stayed in!!!!, we had the penthouse suite at £350 a night, Patio furniture for the so called amazing sundeck consisted of 1 mouldy sun lounger and a broken £3.99 chair (this was for 8 people). There was blood on radiator, a dead bird outside the kitchen window, very stained and ripped carpet, filthy toilets, it smelt like an old peoples home and the heat was revolting. the staff didn't care and if there wasn't 8 of us we would never have continued the stay. the food was cold & cheap with a stupid wait for clean cutlery and glasses. I would highly recommened a park bench rather than this dump.

Room Tip: do not bother

Just returned from a 2 night stay here. Not the worst hotel I've stayed in but certainly not one of the best.

Location is excellent, in a fairly quiet area just a minutes walk from the cliff overlooking the sea. The town centre is just a 10 minute walk too. The price was reasonable at £45 per night for a double room including a full breakfast from the buffet.

On arrival there was nobody at reception to check me in for about 10 minutes. When someone did finally turn up I was told I had to pay for the whole stay upfront and there was an additional £2 charge for paying by card, even for debit card as well!

Room was old fashioned and had bashes and dents in the walls and doors however it was clean enough and the shower was good.

The whole hotel seems to have had no investment for many many years and this reflects in the decor and in the staff, who apart from one or two exceptions, were rude and unhelpful. My mother stayed on a dinner inclusive rate and she had to go without a main course as the staff refused to prepare a vegetarian option.

I won't visit again and in future will stay in the local travelogue for the same price.
