A group of 13 of us (all males). stayed for a Sat night. Good service from the manager. Quite a funny bloke, good banter. 3 rooms which slept 7,6 & 2. All clean & spacious good facilities. 5 min walk from Wetherspoons & 10 min from main town. We've stayed in hostels before which have been absolute holes. This place is good for the money, don't expect luxuries...you get what you pay for!

This hotel is in a great location, near shops and the beach. The staff are friendly and helpful. I stayed three nights with my daughter, we were comfortable and happy with service and would definitely stay again.

Firstly we had a room which slept 4 people for the 3 of us which only had 1 plug socket with an extension lead. As you can imagine 3 girls trying to get ready with hair dryers and and straighteners, the electric to the room cut out a few times and the reception staff were really unfriendly and said this was our fault for plugging more than 1 thing in the 4 plug extension lead. A week later my friend had £45 taken from her account without warning from the hotel as we left towels with a faint make up stain on them, I have travelled all round the uk and I have NEVER had to pay for make up stains being on towels. I would defiantly not recommended this hotel to anyone

On arrival to our room, there was first of all an overwhelming chill in the room, which wasnt helped by the radiators not working. Also the light hanging off of the ceiling wasnt very comforting.

Me and my friends went to this hotel for one night as a birthday night out. On our return to our room we were talking and discussing our night out. A loud knock on the door from the security guard telling us to SHUT THE HELL UP and if we didnt be quiet we would be kicked out, soon turned our night around. The security guard/fun police continued to shout into my face and barge his way into the room.
He told me he would call the police if we werent quiet, i asked him to do so as i thought at this point they needed to speak to him instead of us.
This was all sorted out very quickly and embarassing for the security guard who tried to tell us he was infact a police officer ..... my god.
Anyway we left our room in the morning only to be greeted by a £350 fine later that day.
For towels, sheets and duvets having make up stains and the towels being wet, they also tried to charge us for the light.
I have travelled all over the world and the UK and never have i been charged for make up stains. May i add the money was taken from my friends account with no warning.
After much a battle we didnt get our money back.
Or the towels and sheets that we now legally own.
Cheers fairmount you creepy unprofessional douches.
Also the beds are aboslutely tiny and the shower had no cold only SCOLDING HOT, so if you want go out looking like a burnt lobster, this is the place for you!

to be fair, the fairmont isnt great but on the other hand it was only £25 so lets not complain lets just be realistic. Plus Points -Ensuite room. Clean. Tea Making facilities.negative points - very basic, no wardrobe just hangers and hooks on the wall. breakfast at another establishment across the road. If you need cheap accommodation in Bournmouth then im sure there are many far worse.

I stayed here for 3 nights in November 2013. The place is disgusting.
1) We arrived to find the room dirty and the carpets had not been vacuumed in a long time
2) The bathroom door broke and my friend was trapped inside. Upon calling hotel management to help they simply said there was nothing they could do until the morning. The incident occured at 8pm. We were then left to kick the door to release my friend from the bathroom. We complained again and again over the remaining 2 days yet the door was not fixed, so we had to use the facilities without ever closing the door.
3) The shower was weak and cold
4) We left the hotel a night early as our whole experience had been terrible. I woke up on the morning of our actual checkout date with an email detailing a list of charges to our room for 'hotel damages'. These included makeup on towels and the pillow. Please view the attached images for how ridiiculous these are.

Do not stay here, it is not worth it. Hotel management are rude and unhelpful and clearly out to get as much money as possible from you when you leave.

We stayed in this hotel on 7/11/13 on arrival we had to pay an additional £5 for parking overnight which was kind of expected being in the location it is. We also were asked to sign a piece of paper on arrival at no point were we asked to read and sign any terms and conditions. We got to our room where we had 7 beds squeezed in the room and the curtain was hanging off the rail but all seemed ok at first for what we were paying. Shortly after our neigbours above us arrived which sounded like a heard of elephants which was persistent for most of the evening and which also woke us up at 7am the next morning. The showers were clean enough but they were push button showers which lasted no longer than 7 seconds on pushing which was rather frustrating, but again you get what you pay for. Five of us 7 girls took our own towels , and 7 white towel for each person was provided by the hotel. Which then leads me to the most disappointing part of the whole experience, Today we received an email from the hotel themselves explaining that they were going to going to take a further £50.00 out of the bank card that paid for the hotel for 5 'Make up' staines to the towels provided so apparently they need to buy new ones. Firstly 5 of us took our own towels, and secondly these marks are minimal and could easily be washed out . We were all outraged to hear this and are going to be on to trading standards first thing Monday Morning, this is not the first time this has happened either as there are many other reviews similar. This is my first time on Trip advisor as i am generally very happy with experiences I have at similar hotels and am not one for complaining but this by far has been the most disappointing and WE WIL NOT BE RETURNING!
Please note do not use this hotel if you want to be scammed for using their towels/bedsheets!

Room Tip: Do not stay at this hotel if you want to be scammed.
