The three of us spent three nights and breakfast in Fenn Lodge hotel. That house is situated at the end of a road , free of all traffic. A five to ten minutes walk leads you either to the beach, or to a city center along a walking lane surrounded with trees. The dining room, sitting room an bedroom are all cosy and personalized in decoration . One different atmosphere in every one of them. We were in "the african room" and the decoration was in accordance, with good taste.
The house is in very good repair , clean and very well taken care of , by a staff and landowners all discreet attentive and professional.
Breakfast is varied, several choices, help yourself to sides while being cooked. They pay attention to serving healthy food, and kindly check that you don't miss anything.
The car park is narrow: open doors with care . The landlord and the landlady are so kind! I wish I would still be there!

We stayed at this B&B for the second time. Bruce and Sandy are lovely hosts who make you feel at home. All rooms are lovely decorated. Breakfast is more than excellent. Don´t miss the badgers and foxes which you can see feeding in the garden at dusk. We are looking forward to stay at Fenn Lodge for the next years.

Whilst I only stayed one night, I was really impressed with Fenn Lodge and Bruce and Sandy. I try to avoid all of the so-called value chains of hotels when making business trips and it is very refreshing when you find the little gems like Fenn Lodge. It is not grand in any way, but all the better for that.

A wonderful welcome awaits visitors to Fenn Lodge. It is a pleasure to stay there. The service is the best you can expect and a lot of thought has gone into making each persons stay happy and comfortable. Great breakfast always and immaculately clean throughout. We have recommended Fenn Lodge without hesitation to family and friends. Bruce and Sandy are super hosts

A great deal of care has gone in to Fenn Lodge. The service is wonderful - firendly, efficient and excellent in every way without ever being intrusive. The breakfasts are wonderful, the rooms immaculate and I would not hesitate to recommend it unreservedly! Five Stars!

On the face of it this hotel looks good, it's in a great area, it's well kept and seems professional. Unfortunately, two details were unsatisfactory for me. Firstly, breakfast is from 8.15-9.15 - hardly convenient if you're on business. I had to leave at 8.00am which appartently meant I could not have any hot food for breakfast, despite the fact that one of the owners was up and about at this time. That's just lazy and is hardly putting the customer first. If people want to run a hotel to tide them through an easy retirement, i.e. with no early starts to make breakfast for people then they can only expect bad reviews.

Secondly, there was no hot water for a shower in the morning - it was freezing cold and so I had no shower.

So having paid for an en-suite with breakfast I got neither.

There are lots of other nice looking hotels in this area - my advice would be to find somewhere else.

Comfortable, relaxing and peaceful. Bruce and Sandy provided all that we needed. Even a fridge on the landing in which to put food, and a selection of evening drinks (non-alcoholic) which we were free to avail ourselves of. Our room was so cosy we did'nt need to use the lovely lounge. In fact we would have liked to have stayed a further week.
