This is my second day at the Liston and I've paid a little extra for a superior room, not that there was anything wrong with the standard, it's just I didn't want a twin room. The staff are so helpful, I've not stayed in any hotel in this country where staff have been so concerned about your comfort.
The food is nice and served with a smile, what more do you want. The grounds are colourful and that is even in October.
As the hotel is not in the centre of Bournemouth it's quite at night and promises a good nights sleep.
Would return here again anytime.

Room Tip: Ask to see other rooms available as it cost very little to upgrade.

We stayed at this hotel by default as the one we had booked reneged on our booking. What a delight. We had a room with a balcony over looking the beautiful gardens. The room came with breakfast which was lovely too. Well done, we will be back!

Room Tip: Friendly family hotel

We have had a lovely 5 days at this hotel with National Holidays, the welcome we got was really nice, the hotel is very clean, the food, with choice of menu is first class,we had a room with a balcony overlooking the gardens, the room was large and had been recently updated, like other rooms in the hotel, the staff were tremendous and assisted whenever they could,a short walk from Boscombe Pier and beech and large promenades to left and right,First Class!!

Room Tip: Would suggest upgrade rooms as some are not completely refurbished yet,but those rooms are still ver...

another great night at the liston. booked this venue for a colleagues retirement bash after attending a wedding reception - our remit was an exclusive venue, good food and a dance floor. all were met and more, excellent home made food, fantastic service from the staff who did everything we asked for with a smile and enthusiasm. one of the best parties we have ever had, most people who attended had never been to this hotel before but were very impressed. thanks to diana and her team, a very memorable evening and we will be back!!

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at The Liston, courtesy of National Holidays. It really is a nice hotel, well maintained inside and out. We were on half board and found the breakfast and evening meals of a good standard, served in a lovely little restaurant. A large and elegant entertainment room and bar, with a vocalist on 3 evenings of our stay.

We upgraded to a superior room with balcony and weren't disappointed. It was a lovely, spacious room with a Superkingsize bed and spotlessly clean bathroom. The room was full of little extras - umbrella in a drawer, a safe, electric fan and a small fridge. Plus a large flat screen tv on the wall. The bathroom had nice toiletries supplied too. It was well worth paying a little extra more for.

The only slight complaint we had (and this is a personal choice) was with the meal times. We would have preferred breakfast slightly later than 8.00 a.m. - perhaps 8.30 a.m. - and the evening meal later than 6.00 p.m. - perhaps 7.00 p.m. and this would have made our stay perfect! Nevertheless, would we stay here again? A resounding yes we would!

We have just returned from a five day break at this hotel, its a nice family run hotel, we had a very clean and comfortable room overlooking garden which is beautiful and was obvious a lot of time had been spent on it.Our room looked as if it had just been refurbished and we had a balcony but no access door think this was work in progress because the first room on the same floor had a door instead of a window. The meals were very good and varied, the staff all helpful and pleasant, The only downside was a very slow lift it didn't bother me I just used the stairs but someone less able may have problem. We would return to this hotel and hope National Holidays keep using it because its so much nicer than some of the bigger ones they use.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking gardens have balconies with table and chairs, lovely in summer.

We have just returned from our second stay at this lovely family run hotel. Food is excellent, Diane and her team could not be more helpful, and our room which had a balcony and overlooked the garden, was perfect. We would highly recommend this hotel and will be back!
