Another recommendation from locals was the lovely little Thai restaurant near boscombe station. This place hit the nail on the head for us, the food is great, the service is attentive but not overpowering and the price just right. Thank you and hope to visit again.

We often go out on a Friday night. Mum in Law was up for the weekend so we let her choose the venue as an early Mothers Day do. We hadn't been here for a while and the food had always been good when we had .
Tonight we came in early as we had our 9 and 6 year old children with us.
The interior has been cleared a bit with a few small tables removed giving more space, the tables have beautifully carved wooden inlays which the kids found interesting trying to find things in them. However it's the food that counts. The menu has changed a lot since we last visited which was a while back, but we weren't to be disappointed.
For starters we had some fairly obvious selections, Dim Sum, Chicken Satay and Spring Rolls. Immaculately served and tasting fresh, they were soon gone.
For main course we shared, Chilli Beef Strips in Garlic, Chicken in a Brandy Sweet and Sour, King Prawn Yellow Curry, Pork Masaman Curry and a Noodle and Steamed Rice dishes. Everything tasted great, and there was enough of everything but importantly not too much. Attentive, friendly and polite staff, the 'whole' was great. The few times we have been it has always been good food, not the cheapest but we think good value for it's quality. We had two bottles of wine tonight, one house ( the cheapest and then a Chablis (the dearest) and the bill came to £106, which between 5 of us works out at a tad over £21 each. So two of us were kids but our 9 year old ate as much as Grandma and the 6 year old did well too, so we reckon that's pretty good value overall with the 2 bottles of wine. By the time we left it was heaving and they were coping well and they had people coming in collecting take a way as well.
So overall, top marks. Efficient, polite staff ( quiet mind you) but importantly excellent food. They don't have kids things like pictures, pencils etc so it's not specifically kid friendly in the 'modern' way of things
but try playing 'I spy' to keep their attention going ( we're quite old fashioned) , there's loads of things to spy and if your kids enjoy food, like ours do you'll have no problems here!

We spent a relaxing evening in Sala Thai and our expectations were surpassed! The owners are friendly, hard working and down to earth. This is a family run business, where they pour their passion into making the restaurant beautiful and the food tasty. There is no chain-restaurant blandness here! We enjoyed sizzling steak off the specials menu and mixed spicy seafood, washed down with Monsoon Valley Thai wine. The service was friendly and efficient. Every time we come in to Sala Thai, we feel well taken care of, and have such a relaxing time. Thank you.

Tonight it was a takeaway, and really enjoyed it, it was quiet when i collected it, but it was 7pm on a Wednesday night. Thoroughly enjoyed the green curry, gai mamuang and phak nam mun hoy.The sticky rice was a little dry. A little expensive at up to £7.35 a dish, but plenty for two overall. We will be back.
