Stayed for the weekend & had very pleasant stay. Lovely comfortable warm room, nice breakfast, very welcoming & friendly and close to town centre, beach, pier & BIC & lots of parking. Would recommend.

Mr partner and I stayed here a few weeks ago, mid September, as a cheap stopover while I settled my daughter into her UNI. We weren't expecting much from the price and pictures, but figured we would put up with it for one night, as it was not really a 'holiday'.
I was very pleasantly surprised! The hotel was very a little gem :) The lady who served us at the desk and at breakfast was lovely, extremely helpful and genuinely made us feel welcome. The room was old fashioned in it's decor, but immaculately clean and tidy which is all that really matters! The room was cosy and welcoming, as was the rest of the hotel.
The breakfast was lovely, plenty to eat, well cooked and pleasantly served. The tables were clean and beautifully presented, slight 80's styling all around but to be honest it made a talking point and bought back some memories!
The outside needs attention, which is a shame because it may be offputting, and it is true the inside decor needs to be updated, but it certainly wouldn't stop me returning. I felt very comfortable and would definately consider it for a weekend break.

Ideal location for BIC and shopping.
Very clean and well presented room, with a double bed and a single, with clean bathroom. Shower was a disappointment, with very sparse and slow lukewarm water, even on full power on as hot as possible.
Although they say there are irons and hairdryers, there is a £10.00 deposit, and you have to ask at the generally unmaned reception.
Lovely breakfast, and the lady was very pleasant, however no faciliites at all, no communal areas, so no good if going with friends.
We were asked if we wanted to leave our car for a while Sunday morning to walk into town, which was nice.

We had a family room and a double and the double was nice (think it was the one in the picture) but the family room was along a warren of corridors (which smelt of stale smoke) and was long and thin meaning you had to squeeze past the ends of the beds, not great with 2 kids in the room with us. However, breakfast was nice and staff very helpful friendly but did give the impression of being on its last legs. Parking looked like it might be tricky when the hotel is full (it wasnt when we were there) as car parks are a funny shape and cramped.

I stayed for 2 nights in this hotel. It was a really pleasant place to be. Very friendly. Nice room. Good breakfast. It was out of season so it was quiet. They could not have been more helpful. It was in a good location.
A bit of traffic noise from the main road.
