located not far from beach with very friendly and helpful staff, which I think were mostly from Eastern Europe. I think with all the various facilities, in middle of Aug and a 3 star rating, it was value for money. I can criticise the little things that we noticed but for a 3 star hotel, its amazing and I do not regret it. My son enjoyed it too.

Room Tip: choose top floor rooms on east and south sides

We just can't get enough of this place! Back for our annual visit we weren't disappointed. The high standards of food, cleanliness and staff efficiency and friendliness were there again and we had a lovely time! To be honest we wouldn't come to Bournemouth as often if it wasn't for this hotel. We meet friends here - this includes the staff - and feel completely relaxed! Not bad for a 2 star. It may be a bit smaller than some of its neighbouring hotels but it is in a brilliant position on the West Cliff and is an absolute gem of a place!

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are best but even the side rooms have sea views and are just as comfortable

Originally booked in with Kings Langley <sister hotel>, phone call day before our stay changing the location to Riviera
Staff very friendly and polite, good food, hotel clean.
On the downside, the room we were given was totally inadequate for a couple. Very small, cramped, hot and stuffy, even with two windows open..Room adequate for a single person, double bed filled up most of the room. Bed and pillows also hard. We had six very steep and narrow steps leading down to the door of the room, also thy were narrow and a bit dangerous. The lift also gave us a lot of concern.More variety /choice of breakfast would also have been welcome eg fresh fruit,.

On short notice ,decided to have a couple of days in Bournemouth on the beach.Booked the Riviera as it was within two minutes walking distance to beach. The hotel is run very well,by young management and staff. The service, food, and cleanliness was faultless.Maybe the rooms are a bit small, and dated, but you do'nt come to sit in the room.Pleasant well stocked bar.Evening entertainment. Will be back.Only problem was the weather was cold and overcast!!

The staff were very helpful and friendly right off the bat. We stayed for one night in the coldest weekend in March in 50 years. The hotel was clean, the indoor pool was small but amazing with the kids (pool was warm, and pretty much had it all to ourselves). It completely exceeded my expectations and can't wait to return.
