Knew we'd be passing by Dorchester at lunch time, so browsed Tripadvisor for a good Pub Stop. The Brewers Arms did not disappoint, the welcoming hosts and good service from the staff stood out. The pub has clearly been well decorated, and has an excellent menu and beer choice. Was a tad dissapointed at the price of a pint, but must admit it was a tasty brew.

Excellent food in friendly surroundings, will definitely be back again. The staff were very friendly and were knowledgable about the local area, I had the fish (pollack) perfectly cooked. Thoroughly recommend.

I only get to visit the area once a year but I make this a destination. The staff are so friendly to locals and strangers alike. The food is excellent. The atmosphere is warm and the place is spotlessly clean. And did I mention the food is excellent. They have the best nut roast I've ever eaten, but if that doesn't turn your crank, the menu is varied with a few really nice twists. There was something for everyone in our party and we all enjoyed cleaning our plates. I highly recommend this place.

Whilst on a brief break in the area, we searched the net for a nearby pub for food. There was two. The Brewerts had a Curry Night and so that sealed it. We weren't disappointed. The place is light and clean and trendy without pretentious. The owners are very attentive and give the service you would expect from an owner rather than an occupier. There was a choice of three curries including a veg version. We both plumped for the Chicken Tikka Masala (The British Choice of course). It comes with a small nan, boiled rice and mango chutney. Excellent. Never quite the same as a real Indian, but the best home made curry we have had in a while. It was pleasing to see a couple of dogs in the bar too. A pub should always allow dogs in, well at least in my book. The loos are spotless too, and how often can you say that of a public house? In conclusion, before you consider going to the local on the main road, give these guys a try off the beaten track, I think you'll agree its the better choice! A most enjoyable evening with great food. Well done to the four owners. Your efforts were greatly appreciated tonight.
