“A perfect break”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 March 2014 for a stay in February 2014

We stayed at Tincleton Lodge with four friends. We have been spending a week together in February for the past twelve years, staying in cottages all over the UK. This property met all our needs from the wonderful log fires to the comfortable sofas and well-equipped kitchen. Bedding, towels, china, cutlery etc were all of excellent quality. Jane and Charlie were wonderful hosts and looked after us, making sure we enjoyed our holiday. We fell in love with Martha, their little dachshund - one of our number would have happily brought her home in his pocket!
Of all the places in which we have stayed, this certainly ranks among the best.

Thank you for your review and I am so pleased that you had such an enjoyable stay with your friends. So many of our Guests enjoy Autumn and Winter breaks, not only are they so reasonably priced but its a wonderful time of the year to enjoy brisk walks around the meadows and Nature Trail on the farm and then return to the blissfully warm Lodge with woodburner lit on cold days. There is an abundance of wildlife and the scenery is stunning.
Please do visit again.

“perfect break”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 December 2013 for a stay in November 2013

I booked this cottage for a surprise 50th birthday get together. An ideal location for short or long breaks - very close to Thomas Hardy's cottage in beautiful Dorset countryside, with Dorchester nearby. Comfortable well-kept cottage, furnished to a very high standard which made for a very relaxing stay.

“Absolutely Stunning!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 17 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

I have just returned from a long weekend at Tincleton Lodge with 9 of my girl friends to celebrate my 50th Birthday. The Lodge is and is very spacious, yet cosy and comfortable for ten people. We were all very impressed by how beautifully the lodge has been decorated and furnished and to such a high standard, The beds are just heavenly and bathrooms luxurious. - none of us wanted to leave!!!

Lovely touches to make it feel so welcoming - fresh flowers, chocolates, lovely toiletries and beautiful linens. A wonderful place to stay, highly recommend it - will definitely come back next year for another girlie weekend at Tincleton Lodge.

“Tincleton Lodge excellent for a family holiday”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2013 for a stay in May 2013

Excellent from the warm welcome to the end of the holiday
Tincleton Lodge is excellent for a family break there was 10 of us and everyone could find their own space if they wanted to and come together and be one big happy family.
Location was brilliant, quiet and peaceful. there is a walk around the pond and also a little stream that kiddies could paddle in with adult supervision, Outside area is enclosed so children can play in the garden safely, so parents get to relax a little as well.
There are no immediate amenities you will have to drive to get to the nearest shops, but it didn't make any difference to us. We had a local Tesco deliver our shopping to us on arrival so no need to go to the supermarket.
I liked the kitchen and dining area as you can prepare meals and also chat to other members of your party, there was nothing I didn't like it was all very professional. Jane could not have been more helpful and that goes for the rest of the family too.

So pleased you enjoyed your stay - It is such a pleasure to see families and friends get together for such memorable times, especially when the facilities in the Lodge make it all possible. It was always our aim to make the ground floor bedroom and en-suite a comfortable and luxurious space for everybody to enjoy whether able or less able-bodied.
We very much look forward to seeing you again next year.

So pleased you had a wonderful stay all together. The Lodge has hosted so many family celebrations and its a joy to see so many people get together for such special memorable occasions. So many guests comment on the fact that its fabulous to be all together but yet to have the space to all do your own thing - whether its out of doors jogging around the meadows, walking the Nature trail admiring the wildlife, fishing on the River Frome, playing tennis, sunbathing on the terrace, making a barbeque, paddling in the stream, playing with Otter (the family dog) or relaxing in the Lodge taking a well earned soak in one of the luxurious bathrooms, watching a film on one of the many tv's or just snoozing by the woodburner - we try to ensure that there is something for everyone.
