“Another Wonderful Stay”
Reviewed 26 April 2013

So my wife and I decided to book another weekend away and deciding where to go and stay was a simple choice, After two previous stays at the Wessex Royale the decision was and easy one,

the staff are ever so polite and friendly to the point that they will go out of there way to make your stay a comfortable one.

luckily for us the weather was kind and we were able to get out and visit family in Weymouth and enjoy the sights. We even bought our family member back to the Wessex Royale for an evening meal which went down a real treat with all.

the food was to a very high standard indeed, and the choice was excellent, not always do you find somewhere that caters for all dining requirements.

so to all the team there i'd like to say thank you once again, and to anyone looking to stay in the area the Wessex Royale comes highly reccomened

Kind Regards Mr & Mrs Lad

This time I had one of the courtyard rooms, which are slightly larger than those in the main hotel. Very comfortable and warm, even though it was bitterly cold and snowing outside! Very good en-suite. the few steps to the hotel is no problem, and as usual the breakfasts were excellent. Very pleasant staff too.

Stayed at this hotel for one night, last minute. Staff very helpful and friendly, car park small but we managed to get a space. Bar area nice, open fire, but drinks very pricey! Breakfast was nice, good selection and service, although restaurant was a bit dated, as was our room. It was a shame because the public areas were quite nice, and there was new carpeting in the hall way etc. but our room could have done with freshening up. The bed was comfortable, but a small double, could have got a King in there. General decor and furnishing mismatched and tired. However, the room was very clean, and the bedding was nice, and the complimentary toiletries and refreshments were nice. Free car parking and free wi-fi was good. It's an average hotel and room, that coud be made into a lot more with a little effort.

Lovely room overlooking the historic high street. Spotlessly clean. Friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent cooked breakfast. Car parking spaces at the rear of the hotel are limited, but parking on the street is easy and free after six and all day Sunday.
There is a very quiet and comfortable lounge room on the first floor, ideal reading.

Arrived for a wedding with a tight schedule and I was treated to great, intelligent service. Had a snug room for the night and left feeling pleased if deeply hungover from the night's celebrations. Recommend highly

Stayed for two days at this hotel, the bedroom was lovely, very clean. with a lovely soft bed, we were on the first floor overlooking the main road,a little traffic noise. The food was good and the staff very helpful...However the parking at the back was alittle tight.

Stayed here with family after a funeral.Good room, spotlessly clean but the bed! I like a firm bed

but this was like a rock and I didn't realise that it was only a double bed not a kingsize,so I didn't

get much sleep. However great cooked breakfast to compensate.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking car park are very quiet
