Stayed for two nights in this splendid Sawdays manor house B&B tucked away in a beautiful rural retreat, far from any crowds, madding or otherwise. Ashley embodies a certain type of eccentric English gentleman, and positively enhanced the stay with his humour and wonderful stories - he cooks a mean breakfast, too! He's very relaxed and accommodating, and makes one feel more like a house guest than a paying customer, though the flip-side is you do have to pin him down on some of the details (we never discovered the wifi code!). He has two charming dogs, and it was a great place for us to be able to bring our own four-legged friend. The house itself is comfortable and characterful, albeit that there was the odd bit of 'work in progress' evident. Very much recommended.
