“Nice!”
Reviewed 29 May 2013

Popped in today for a cup of tea, and had to have the cream tea! Only one scone, but it was huge, as much jam as I wanted, and a huge portion of cream, nice tea too! it was £5.50, not too bad at all.
There is a lovely selection of deli bits to buy, not cheap, but really nice and different.
I will be back when next in the area

“Ticks EVERY box”
Reviewed 16 May 2013

This is a brilliant little café and deli shop for Olives et Al products which are mostly savoury, but some sweet. You can find unusual and spicy nibbles for that special party, and the range of cheeses etc is excellent. The café is informal with shared or separate tables and there is a low buzz (but not noisy like some eateries) as they are almost always quite busy - a sign of regular clientele. The food is to die for - ticks every one of our boxes as we love fresh, local healthy food, and almost always choose the grazing board (for two) as you get a good range of what's on offer - lovely thick slices of ham, loads of cheese accompanied by artichoke hearts, olives, tomorosso etc. and artisan bread. Other people's food always looks good too. Coffee here is strong and flavoursome and served quite a lot hotter than elsewhere (a sign warns you about this). Means you don't have to drink too quickly, and the relaxed atmosphere of the place encourages you to take your time. Staff are always happy, helpful and friendly. Afterwards you can browse around the adjoining garden centre (pricey, but high quality plants etc.)

“Good but pricey”
Reviewed 14 May 2013

Olives et Al at the Potting Shed is a friendly but expensive place to eat with good food and lots of samples to try in the shop.

“Good food and friendly atmosphere”
Reviewed 20 March 2013

We have been using this cafe for some time and like the type of food they provide in a friendly atmosphere. The seating is varied with large tables that can be shared if necessary or smaller tables for more private dining.
The food is based on the healthier lifestyle with delicious salads, cheese platters and a wide range of interesting pies.

Go to Olives et Al at the Potting Shed regularly. Best coffee in town, great deli and I love everything on the menu. The staff are professional whilst being friendly and informal. It has a special atmosphere and a loyal band of regulars. Try it!
