“Lovely hotel”
Reviewed 27 January 2007

Stayed here for 2 nights and wished it had been longer. The hotel was very clean and we were made to feel extremely welcome as soon as we walked through the front door. The room was comfortable and the breakfast delicious. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at Little Court last weekend , it is a lovely old house set in its own grounds , with plenty of parking , and was reasonably easy to find , its about 1 mile from Dorchester.

We were met by a very pleasant chap who explained all about the house and the history , the room we were shown to was really fabulous with leaded windows , lovely mahogany furniture and a roomy ensuite bathroom , everything was sparkling clean.

We tried the pub down the road that night and had a good supper (not Gordon Ramsey but not his prices either!) , the following night we walked into dorchester which is a 15 minute stroll.

The Breakfasts were so good , with so much choice of hot and cold.

Altogether a fab place , highly recommended , to bo honest they could charge double and it would still be reasonable!

I always read trip advisor reviews before staying anywhere but have never written a review however I feel I have to for this place. A lovely relaxing place to stay, clean, lovely decor, feels like home from home and very good value. Superb place!

Little Court is great, Dorchester is great.
Others seem to think the food at the pub down the road is ok, but I beg to differ.
So please, please go and check before deciding to eat there. One look and you'll know whether it's for you.

Very pleasant bed and breakfast on the outskirts of Dorchester. Good-sized room and bathroom. If you are staying in Dorset bear in mind that Dorchester itself is a pretty boring town. But this is well-placed for the Thomas Hardy and T E Lawrence trails.
We thoroughly recommend a day spent in the nearby town of Weymouth --- one of Britain's seaside jewels.

Stayed at this lovely old house for 4 days in February. We were met with a lovely cup of tea and biscuits and an offer to help ourselves to a glass of sherry that was always available in the guest lounge.(see picture). The bedroom was large with a lovely bathroom and shower with full ensuite facilities. The weather at the time was cold and snowy and we were provided with extra heating so that the room was always snug and warm. The breakfasts were fantastic and set us up nicely for the day. Although classed as a hotel it is really a B and B as they don't offer evening meals, however if you go out of the drive, turn left and walk down hill for a quarter of a mile the Sun Inn do super evening meals and also have a great carvery.
There are large grounds at the hotel, a tennis court and an outdoor swimming pool although I'm not sure if this is open to guests.
I would highly recommend The Little Court to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Good location just one mile from Dorchester. A well designed Lutyns style house on the outside (pity about the pebbledashing) combined with good facilities on the inside. Breakfast is excellent. Slightly more expensive than the average B&B but you get what you pay for and that certainly applies to Little Court. Friendly hosts and black labrador. No evening meals but the Sun Inn is nearby and serves good food.
