Nice layout of old rectory. Good choice of pubs within 5 miles. idyllic spot. Very nice hostess, has a homely feel about it. Handy for lots of locations in and around the Dorset county.

So glad we discovered this gem on the internet. We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay in this lovely country B & B. The house has been tastefully refurfished and the rooms comfortable and spotlessly clean. We were warmly welcomed by Caroline, provided with all the local knowledge that we were interested in and what a delicious breakfast she presented to us. The atmosphere of the house is warm and friendly and we would highly recommend The Old Rectory to anyone.Thank you Caroline for your excellent hospitality.

We were greeted with a warm welcome and we were made to feel very much at home throughout our stay. Our room - although described as the smallest in the house - was perfect and bigger than some we've stayed in! Everything was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Carloline's full English breakfast was delicious and there was cereal, yoghurt, fruit and bread to help ourselves to had we had the room. We found Caroline and Gordon's local knowledge very useful especially their restaurant recommendation - we only had time to visit the Greyhound where we enjoyed a first class meal at reasonable prices. The traditional stone house has been lovingly restored and is in a pretty and peaceful location with many beautiful natural sights within easy reach.

The Old Rectory has been fully modernised to an exceptionally high standard without losing its history and charm. It has clean, comfortable rooms and excellent facilities. Caroline is a gifted hostess providing a warm welcome and a great breakfast. A peaceful and delightful place to stay.

A delightful house in a delightful Dorset village, oozing charm, history and character. Caroline is one of the most welcoming hosts we have ever met and really makes you, the guest, feel like you are staying at home. We even got to meet Fudge, the ginger tom, who has separate accommodation in the garden :)
