Reviewed 6 November 2012

sorry for the late review.
stayed here when moving home.
had 3 nights in a large bay windowed room which was warm and comfortable and very clean.
the kind lady who runs this place thinks of everything and is a marvellous host.

great for stays to explore or for commercial visits...
superb food, the breakfast was great and hot, plenty of it.

This was more like staying in a friends house, that was the level of kindness and warmth I felt on my stay. From calling me at home when I booked to driving me to the b & b when I got lost and called for directions from the station, Joan literally couldn't have done more to help. The house itself was so well stocked and clean it was outstanding. The array of breakfast choices was amazing as well as all the additional things available such as toothbrushes and toiletries. The room was very and tidy and tastefully decorated. There was an amazing amount of helpful information in the room about things to do and the history of the area. As well as the very generous supplies of tea and coffee and complimentary biscuits. I literally cannot recommend this accomodation highly enough. I can't wait to stay again.

This is my second review and Joan hasn't changed in her warmth and welcome of her guests. The room had plenty of storage for our needs, a large en-suite supplied with plenty of toiletries and towels.

There was a wealth of information in the room on where to go, what to do and where to eat, as well as downstairs.

Breakfast was plentiful and gave an enormous choice.

Room Tip: Residential area, so all rooms are quiet.

We stayed here in June for my sister in laws wedding, the whole family booked the B&B so we could all be together! On arrival we were given a warm welcome and shown to our rooms. They were clean & tidy with tea/coffee making stuff. Breakfast was amazing! You could have anything, cereals, fruit, cooked breakfast, whatever you wanted even if it wasn't on the menu! We were only 5/10 mins away from the centre and easily in walking distance. Would recommend if staying in the area, great value, very nice!!

I can't find fault with Aquila Heights. The owner is a lovely friendly lady, the rooms are impeccably clean with full size toiletries provided (and a range of types and scents). I'm just waiting on breakfast but it smells amazing. About 10 mins and your in town armed with ALL the information that is available at the bnb.

My daughter searched for hotels/Bnb for me to stay at during her time in winterbourne hospital, she suggested this one as it is #1 in the area, we thought it might be pricey but it was a great deal as we rung around all the different hotels and bnb and this was by far the cheapest, and especially as the Olympics were on! She did not scrimp on anything let alone her patience and helpfullnuss, the walk to and from the hospital was only 20 minutes with a lovely scenery, the room was lovely and the breakfast were delicious with lots of choice I recommend anyone to stay here as well as family or friendsof patients in the winterbourne hospital.

A friend booked this guest house for us on 2/3 August, and I can honestly say that it was absolutely first-rate. The room was very large and airy, with a huge bed, 2 comfy armchairs, a desk, and a dressing table, on which were tea- and coffee-making facilities. On top of the desk was a folder containing a plethora of information of things to do/places to see in and around Dorchester, and the private en-suite was first-class. The shower cubicle was large, and there were at least 10 different shower products for us to choose from, and matching towels and flannels.

The breakfast provided was simply amazing ......... a choice of about 10 different types of cereal, a fresh fruit salad (strawberries, kiwi, papaya and something else), figs, apricots, grapefruit, not to mention at least 10 different cooked breakfast choices, and no less than 20 jars of preserves, sauces etc. etc.

Would I come here again ....... most definitely "YES"
Would I recommend it ............ absolutely "YES"

The proprietors have really excelled themselves in providing a FIRST-RATE Guest House service, and I feel privileged to have stayed there.
