Loved the leisurely pace of the meal we had here. From the pre-dinner drinks outside to the perfect pauses between courses to the coffee and chocs to finish. Food gorgeous too! Will be returning!

Me and my girlfriend had a spotless dinner with superb and genuinely friendly service from the lovely couple running the restaurant. We both regret we didn't stay the night, as we had booked elsewhere already.

The food itself was in many ways just as good as any Michelin restaurant we have been to, with a unique British-French touch to it and exciting takes on classic courses. We were especially fond of the horseradish potatoe puré; and afterwards, the chef wrote down the full recipe, step by step, for us.

Highly recommended!

Wonderful menu, 5 course dinner ( if you include the cheese course) excellent wine list and outstanding, attentive service.

We went to Yalbury as a group of five. The weather was with us as the sun was shining and we sat outside before and after the meal. The group worked through three options for each of starters, mains, and desserts, so we explored the menu (which is not huge) and everything was first class. Highlights were the dressed crab starter, tender and tasty roast beef, and perfectly cooked skate. The service was attentive and friendly, and the wine list excellent. The best around.

Today we celebrated a special family birthday with Sunday lunch at Yarlbury Cottage. The food and service were perfect - not a scrap was left on any plate. We have been wanting to visit for some time and will certainly be back soon. It certainly deserves it's number 1 rating! Thank you.
