“Excellent food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 November 2012

I had to book for a group of 8 people, I booked the restaurant and the group had a variety from the menu, including vegan and vegetarian. One of the party had beefburger which came with a good selection of trimming on a board excellent presentation, the best I have seen for a beefburger The choice was good, the quality and quantity really good. I recommend the stuffed chicken which I had. The group all complimented me on my choice of restaurant.
Thank you to all the staff.

“Excellent Sunday Lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 November 2012

We hadn't booked for Sunday lunch but they squeezed us in. Lovely friendly atmosphere and very efficient service. Decent pub food - we had a beautifully presented burger and nut roast with all the trimmings (veggie gravy very welcomed).
We'll make sure we book next time as we were lucky to get a table.

“Family lunch at the Brewers”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 November 2012

We visited The Brewers with our daughter and son in law at lunchtime after reading the glowing reviews on Trip Advisor. It was a little like the Marie Celeste when we walked in (Wednesday lunchtime) as there was no-one behind the bar and only one other person drinking which was a bit strange. However after a few minutes the barman appeared and said they were serving food so we looked at the menu.
A high chair was provided for the little one.
Our grandaughter (15 months) was a bit fractious and the lady who was cooking came out and gave her a colouring book and pencils which was a really nice touch.
We all had differnt things to eat and had no complaints other than the burger which my daughter had was rather spicy which wasn't mentioned on the menu. I strongly recommend the chips ....they are really good!
Will probably visit again, perhaps in the evening.

“A very enjoyable evening”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 November 2012

We were looking for something different whilst staying in town and took the walk down the famous Gold Hill to the brewers. Really glad we did because we found a very friendly, locals-led pub which offered us very welcoming service and a very decent meal. Chaps, try a pint of the Doombar if you get the chance. One other piece of advice: wear a jumper because it's not the warmest (in temperature terms at least!) that we've ever visited!

“Nothing more to say”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 October 2012

After reading other reviews we had lunch here when we visited the area. There is really nothing else to say, the food was great and the service was too. My daughter has a phobia of wood and the burgers are served on a wooden board, We requested a plate, they never batted an eyelid and even made sure there was no cocktail stick holding it together ,nothing was too much bother. Not too much bother driving around to the bottom of the hill, there was plenty of room to park. Also a nice outside area. Even had very a group of very loud morris dancers singing! All lovely meals and a very good price.
